Drylock worked great and cleaned my brick efflorescence perfectly. Two weeks later, the efflorescence is 10 times worse.

Customer Reviews

Rated 2.4 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth buying I purchased this to remove efflorescence deposits from a block wall in my basement before painting. I had high hopes when I was applying the solution to the wall as it was bubbling when I was brushing it on. After a 30 minute wait after application (per directions) I gave it a good rinse with the garden hose. I was severely disappointed when the blocks began to dry. Not only did it not work, it made some spots look worse. Should you buy this product, do follow the safety guidelines and ensure proper ventilation. I had a fan blowing down from the top of the stairs and then another fan pointed at the open window. It seemed to work fine. November 12, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not as advertised Save yourself the agony of needing to do something twice and find another product. The task of scrubbing down your basement walls with any product reminds me of being punished in school and needing to wash chalkboards, but worse. The directions are easy to follow, dissolve in 1gal warm water and apply with stiff scrub brush. I tried "wax on", "wax off". I even "painted the fence". Believe me when I say Mr. Miyagi himself wouldn't be able to make this product work. The only positive that did come out of this exercise was cleaning the rest of the foundation walls. If you buy this product after reading bad reviews you'll feel like you went "squish" by the time you're done. July 4, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Stuff !! Good stuff !! we just had our new tile job installed to our new shower floor just 3mo ago & noticed white stains (efflorescence) Read the instructions carefully. I would recommend 12oz bottle & use 1/2 gallon instead to 4x5 shower floor. You will hear the acid doing its thing "sizziling", allow 30min to notice result ! Highly recommended ! March 2, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Worked well. Back for more. Product worked perfectly. I mixed the bottle with 1 gallon of warm water and applied with a stiff bristle scrub brush. It instantly dissolved the efflorescence deposits. Only downside was that by the end of the one wall I did, my water was filthy. Will need another bottle to finish the second wall. May 29, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Did nothing I followed the directions for dissolving, applying, waiting and then flushing the product and it didn't do anything! I still have the salt-like deposits on the basement walls. April 16, 2013
