Would you recommend this Ultralight Foam Tile Backer board for use with ceramic tile in a 2nd floor laundry room?

I am hoping addition of this backer board and tile can dampen some of the vibration coming from the laundry room.

Can I use this under a kitchen sink back wall

There was a leak and tenant pulled the wall off instead of letting it dry

Kim The Sheetrock Ultralight Foam Tile Backer Board is intended to be finished with tile. If you do not plan to tile this area you may want to consider using our Fiberock board which is paintable after skim coating. Hope this helps.
