for this much money i thought the fixture would be glass but it's plastic resin.
the instructions were extremely lacking but after about an hour i figured out all of the pieces and proceeded with installation. i put the frame together before i hung it and that worked much better than working from the junction box down.
it looks nice now that it's up, but i really wanted something more classy with glass.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by BABS easy to assemble & nice soft light
My husband assembled it after work one evening with no problem after reading the directions. The lighting is soft even though 3 light bulbs. Reminds me of lighting in a very nice hotel.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nickname It's beautiful, but beware, it throws a very, very yellow light
I have two similarly styled ones in table lamps, that point down, thereby casting a white type light. These point toward the ceiling, so the white light is cast up and everything underneath, glows yellow. That includes you! The panels only seem off white-ish - they shine very yellow! Excepting that everyone looks jaundiced, it's truly a pretty light .If I was talented enough to install it flipped over, that problem would go away. It's much bigger than my last light over the dining table, so I need to get used to that - but more positively put, it's very present in your decor. It was on sale for 119.00, so I'm not gonna complain. Also, I might mess around with some daylight balanced bulbs

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pendennis1947 The Ad Pictures Don't Do This Pendant Lamp Justice
We saw several similar lamps at the local store. However, with low stock, we went on line and looked. We found this lamp, and decided to take a chance and order it. When it arrived several days later, we were extremely impressed with its looks.
On installation, we ended up calling an electrician, owing to mechanical problems with the ceiling, and concerns about some wiring. The old chandelier hangers just would mate up properly, and the existing wiring we thought may not have been long enough.
In just under an hour, the electrician finished wiring and hanging. We installed standard 60 watts bulbs, and turned on the lamp. It was an amazing transition! The panels diffuse the light perfectly and the dining room now has very even lighting, something that was lacking with the old chandelier.
Our home is a craftsman style, built in 1926. This lamp fit in exactly, and it looks as if it were designed for the dining room. Opposite the dining room, our living room has northern facing stained glass windows. This pendant lamp compliments those windows very nicely.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Satisfiedcustomer Beautiful light makes all the difference in my foyer!
I really needed a new light for my entryway to echo the Mission style of my other home furnishings. The price looked good so I figured I would give this a try. It is much better than expected! The electrician said that the hooks were a little tricky to install but the finished effect is really stunning.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Joanne Stylish light at a great price
This light fixture looks beautiful in my dining room. Glad I didn't try to install it myself - my electrician read the directions! A first! There were a few tiny cosmetic flaws on the light shade, not really noticable from 30 inches away. We had a problem keeping the four corner bars in place. They are not actually supports, but decorative. We were finally able to keep them in place with pencil erasers pushed onto the inside hooks as stoppers. Overall, a great buy and a great looking fixture.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by DIYSchmo Poor Craftsmanship, Not for 8' Ceilings
This an average quality lamp. However, the Shade Craftsmanship leaves MUCH to be desired. You get what you pay for when you buy a Mass-Produced, Hand Assembled item Made in China. Those guys over there are under so much pressure to get these things out quickly that many small details get overlooked. In addition to the Weak Craftsmanship, Mine was Obviously Damaged at the Factory but they still packaged it and sent it on it's way rather than put it in the defect pile. Again, those guys would probably get fired for messing up so they box it and forget about it. I am returning mine locally and won't buy another for two reasons. 1) I'm not waiting around for another lamp that is poorly crafted and 2) This thing is Not meant for 8' ceilings even without using any chain besides one link to connect it to the ceiling plate.

It's a solid product for a reasonable price ($120). Delivery was fast and it was packaged conscientiously. We are happy with it.
