Answer:
If floor is level and mastic is appropriately applied, the tile should hold up as well as any other. I found them to be quite sturdy when cutting them for my backsplash.

Answer:
In my opinion your best bet would be 2x2 tiles-especially if you've built your own shower pan. The imperfections in the shower pan will be easier to deal with. Meaning: you can tile over them and not have as much of an issue with the tile cracking or the grout cracking if the tiles aren't properly seated. There is a lot more room for error with 2x2s or smaller.

Answer:
Providing that the surface of the shower floor is prepared properly for ceramic tile installation I cannot imagine that the size of the tile can matter. The 2" x 4" tiles that I used were on a mesh backing that made the installation quite easy. I am not aware that 2" x 2" tile is available in Daltile's Sandy Beach pattern. Please understand, I am a DIY'er not a professional installer. Hope this helps.

Answer:
The tile should be fine, but the tile would still need to be installed using standard installation techniques (mortar/grout).

Don't see why not. They are very sturdy, not slippery, and adhere well. Look almost like stone work when done.

The joint size between tiles on these sheets vary from 1/16 to 1/8. I've installed it with about 1/8 between the sheets themselves. What type of grout should I use?

Answer:
I bought 1/8 spacers but did not use them at all. The tile adheres well and the spacers were just a hassel. I just eyeballed it and used a leveler and it turned out great.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 19 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful I finally decided to rip out the old 4x4 white tiles used as a back splash and chose this as the replacement. The mosaic lined up pretty easily but make sure you get some good 1/8" spacers. I chose to get the hard plastic ones as well as plastic wedges instead of the rubber spacers. This insured the tiles never moved after they were set. I also used two of the four rows of the "Fashion Accents Sand 3 in. x 12 in. 8 mm Illumini Accent Mosaic Wall Tile" to add some more character to the back splash. All-in-all it came out excellent. I only wish I would have done it sooner now that I see how beautiful it is. May 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by do it yourself kitchen project I installed this wall tile for backsplashes on my kitchen walls. One thing I noticed is that different dye lots are not an issue. These tiles have enough color variation which allows them to blend in with different dye lots. Thin slivers are difficult to "score and snap" without breaking -- for those I used a wet saw. I felt these tiles were reasonably priced compared to other backsplash tiles. December 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This multi-colored tile will enhance your room giving it a touch of color with a professional look. The Sandy Beach mosaic tile developed into a unique back splash for my kitchen. It has numerous shades of sandy tones with a bit of sage green. I bought a sample and taped it to my kitchen wall by the stove so I could glance at it periodically throughout the day as lighting changed to ensure the colors worked for me. Tile was easy to work with and cut as I added design tiles. For the design tile, I used Tuscan Beige Listello tile to fit into the 2" space. I found the design tile completed the look I was wanting - to incorporate a glass tile so it had a modern look and feel. March 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gorgeous! I purchased these mosaic tiles for a kitchen backsplash. My kitchen was white, all white including the floor and I wanted to break it up with a warm inviting color. Boy, these tiles really enhance my kitchen and give me just what I was looking for. I considered glass or stone but changed to these tiles which to me, look classier. I started on one end working my way around the multiple outlets, leaving that area open. I used mastic/grout adhesive bought at HD and inexpensive. I used a wet saw to make curved areas when needed around the outlets. I used a tile cutter bought at HD for $19.99 and found it most helpful. If you score the tile and THEN snap it, the tiles split evenly every time, and no chips. The tile is extremely durable and easy to work with. I was even able to cut small slices with the tile cutter. Once I finished, I looked and realized that I needed to go behind the Refrigerator and I continued on doing that area. I could not be happier with the outcome. I used NO accessories, trim, inlays, etc. Just mosaics. The colors are gray, tan, brown and a slight greenish tint from the gray, which is what I was looking for. Also would work with blues. I will grout with Alabaster and post pictures when completed. Needless to say, I am a self DYIer. Just jump in and do it. November 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this trim Had a new shower built and love the fancy trim we put in the middle.... just gave it a bit more oomph May 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks Great! The tile looks great and was easy to install. We also bought the border to dress it up a little bit. We used Bone for the grout color. Tip: use vinegar and water (half and half) to clean off the grout after you've sponged it off with water a couple of times. It will bring out the tile color a lot more. October 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great with other sizes I really like mixing different sizes and shapes of tile. My husband and I discuss what will looks well and he is doing the job. Those small tiles were great addition to larger tiles. I was really impressed when I saw effect. December 11, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by looks good Not quite 12 x12. Needed to add a little for the notches. October 22, 2015
