I finally decided to rip out the old 4x4 white tiles used as a back splash and chose this as the replacement.
The mosaic lined up pretty easily but make sure you get some good 1/8" spacers. I chose to get the hard plastic ones as well as plastic wedges instead of the rubber spacers. This insured the tiles never moved after they were set. I also used two of the four rows of the "Fashion Accents Sand 3 in. x 12 in. 8 mm Illumini Accent Mosaic Wall Tile" to add some more character to the back splash. All-in-all it came out excellent. I only wish I would have done it sooner now that I see how beautiful it is.

I installed this wall tile for backsplashes on my kitchen walls. One thing I noticed is that different dye lots are not an issue. These tiles have enough color variation which allows them to blend in with different dye lots. Thin slivers are difficult to "score and snap" without breaking -- for those I used a wet saw. I felt these tiles were reasonably priced compared to other backsplash tiles.

The Sandy Beach mosaic tile developed into a unique back splash for my kitchen. It has numerous shades of sandy tones with a bit of sage green. I bought a sample and taped it to my kitchen wall by the stove so I could glance at it periodically throughout the day as lighting changed to ensure the colors worked for me. Tile was easy to work with and cut as I added design tiles. For the design tile, I used Tuscan Beige Listello tile to fit into the 2" space. I found the design tile completed the look I was wanting - to incorporate a glass tile so it had a modern look and feel.

I purchased these mosaic tiles for a kitchen backsplash. My kitchen was white, all white including the floor and I wanted to break it up with a warm inviting color. Boy, these tiles really enhance my kitchen and give me just what I was looking for. I considered glass or stone but changed to these tiles which to me, look classier. I started on one end working my way around the multiple outlets, leaving that area open. I used mastic/grout adhesive bought at HD and inexpensive. I used a wet saw to make curved areas when needed around the outlets. I used a tile cutter bought at HD for $19.99 and found it most helpful. If you score the tile and THEN snap it, the tiles split evenly every time, and no chips. The tile is extremely durable and easy to work with. I was even able to cut small slices with the tile cutter. Once I finished, I looked and realized that I needed to go behind the Refrigerator and I continued on doing that area. I could not be happier with the outcome. I used NO accessories, trim, inlays, etc. Just mosaics. The colors are gray, tan, brown and a slight greenish tint from the gray, which is what I was looking for. Also would work with blues. I will grout with Alabaster and post pictures when completed. Needless to say, I am a self DYIer. Just jump in and do it.

The tile looks great and was easy to install. We also bought the border to dress it up a little bit. We used Bone for the grout color. Tip: use vinegar and water (half and half) to clean off the grout after you've sponged it off with water a couple of times. It will bring out the tile color a lot more.

I really like mixing different sizes and shapes of tile. My husband and I discuss what will looks well and he is doing the job. Those small tiles were great addition to larger tiles. I was really impressed when I saw effect.

Not quite 12 x12. Needed to add a little for the notches.
