flooring use

is this tile okay to put on the floor, I noticed the specifications mention it
Asked by: JenP
On page 254 of the 2015 Daltile catalog, it shows this tile is suitable for "Dry & Level - Interior" floor applications. Not suitable for any wet or exterior applications. When we install tile in a bath, we look for a high COF, which this tile doesn't have. An almost identical tile to this one can be found at another big box store, and it has a high COF and is ADA compliant. I wish that HD would add COF to their specs for tiles to make it easier to select a slip-resistant bath tile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! We are converting our garage into a guest house and were looking for the Hexagon/Octogon look for the bathroom and kitchen floors, we put these in with grey grout and it looks awesome! Couldn't be happier and great price for what you get!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from caution I finished our bathroom after much frustration as the 1' sq. of tiles is not evenly spaced (no mesh, flimsy glue). The use of spacers was near impossible and I highly recommend the use of a white or lighter grout. If using gray grout, be advised it will expose all of the irregular spacings. Even with patience, careful planning and a watchful eye, the design of this product simply does not allow for equal spacing. After finishing the floor I noticed a slight pink shade to some of the tiles. After contacting the manufacturer, I was told that some of the tile boxes are labeled "pink tint". I however could not locate this on the product's box. Use caution when selecting loose squares from an open box and be aware this tint is VERY difficult to see, but will be noticeable on your floor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Different colored tile in same box I just finished a week long project of tiling my bathroom. Upon finishing grouting I noticed that some of the tile was a different shade than the others. It was darker. I looked on the boxes and there is no difference to the tiles according to the description. Very disappointing to finish such a lengthy project only to find such a major flaw that was only visible once grouting had finished. I am so mad right now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Love it! Love it!....Did I mention how much I LOVE IT?! I am renovating a historic house built around 1918. I decided I wanted the bathrooms to feel light and airy so I choose the Daltile Matte White 12in X 12in X 13mm Ceramic Octagon Dot Mosaic for my flooring. I didn't go wrong. I can't say enough about this product. I'm not a DIYer and know I could never have installed it myself. Thankfully, hired the BEST guy in the world! He is very OCD, so he took his time and made sure it met his high standards. It turned out beautifully. I love it so much I've decided to use it in a few other areas (i.e. laundry room, master bath and kitchen). .... did I mention how much I love it?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful, Easy to Install Tile! I bought these to use in my master bath in the new home we are building, and was very happy with them. I laid them myself pretty easily, with no real problems. This was my second attempt at tiling, so I am not a professional by any means. Yes, the tiles are not mesh backed, they are "glue dabs" that hold the tiles together. You have to really twist them to break this glue off, so don't worry about them falling apart. I had some mesh back tiles from Merola in the border that I did, and they were more difficult as with the mesh you can smoosh the tiles too close (the mesh is very flexible). You can't do this with the glue dabbed tiles. I liked this tile job so much, I did a second bathroom with then. I used Delorean Gray grout and both floors look spectacular. I have gotten so many compliments on my floor, and I love it. Great look, great price!!!
