Customer Questions & Answers

Is the texture smooth or textured?

Asked by: Whiskit
Slightly textured. It mimics a real wood look. Still is flat, and fairly easy to get the grout cleaned. Definitely not slippery. Good luck.

Can you put this tile in a herringbone design?

It looks slightly wider than others in a similar style
Asked by: carriec631
We used the herringbone pattern. I have included a picture of our floor finished.

Is this tile easy to cut?

Asked by: Marsha
Cuts in a straight line with a simple tile scoring machine. Cuts easily with a wet saw. It is a bit finicky when it comes to nipping a curve, so be patient in doing so.

What color of grout did you use for your Parkwood Beige tile?

I bought haystack, but my tile guys are telling me if I want a more seamless real wood look to use Linen or Ivory. I had a hard enough time choosing this tile and now grout color and thresholds and patterns? And thanks for the photos folks. Your rooms and the shower surround look wonderful. Thanks for taking the time to answer.
Asked by: Danatravels
Haystack.

Parkwood Beige 7 in. x 20 in. Ceramic Floor and Wall Tile (10.89 sq. ft. / case) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 60.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Tile! We love this tile! It was a challenge to find a tile that would complement our existing kitchen tile. The beige and grey tones create a versatile background and fit in perfectly with our decor. We used the Pinwheel mosaic also, to transition between the old and new tiles. The quality seems quite good. My only regret is that we didn't go with a much darker grout, like Oyster Gray or Quartz (suggested by Home Depot). We chose Antique White because the sample was a perfect match, but the grout dried quite a few shades lighter than I planned. It looks beautiful despite that. Also, we went with Home Depot's subcontractors for the install, and they were terrific.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful! We replaced our existing carpet in a house we bought ( The existing tile was so slippery, I don't know how the previous owners lived with it) and had this tile installed though out our entire house. (Kitchen, baths, laundry, bedrooms,Florida room, and living/dining etc) We had it laid with as small as spacer at they could use to lay it and used the haystack color grout (thanks to others recommendation). It was just over 2100 sq ft and I just cant tell you how beautiful it is. We've gotten so many compliments on it and people don't believe its not real wood floors.until they reach down and touch it. The best part is it is non-slip. Home Depot installed it for us and did a excellent job. I highly recommend them if you don't have someone or can't do it yourself.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Inaccurate Display You show patterns on the display board that are not correct. The large 7x20 tile is thicker than the smaller 12x12 that is supposedly have the ability to create this pattern. Well my tile contractor said that it was possible, but would add considerable labor and price to do the job. Now that I cut the 12x12, I have to absorb this cost and just use the 7x20 throughout the bathroom.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beware I bought a huge amount of this tile to do the flooring throughout my whole house. It is a nice color and nice wood look however the tiles were all different sizes within the same box and within the same pallet. Some tiles differed as much as an eighth of an inch per tile. This may not seem like a lot but when your contractor is laying the tile it makes a big difference. It appears that the lines throughout the floor are wavy because one tile sticks out 1/8 inch past the other and so on down the line. My contractor was so disgusted he left for the day. We opened box after box and found varying differences in size between each tile in the box. Very frustrating. I don't even know how something like this could happen. So if you want to spend the day sorting tiles according to size variations this is the tile for you. Otherwise, beware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful wood like tile! My floors turned out beautiful. This wood like ceramic tile had the best price I could find at any store. We decided on an herringbone pattern and used a slate Mosaic to help transition from room to room. We have already finished our living room and will be starting on a front room and hallway. I am very excited and love the look of this tile. We did install it ourselves, which was a lot of hard work!! I would suggest if you can afford it, pay someone to install it for you. I used 1/8 inch spacers between tiles. I am not sure if that was the right space for grouting, but it seemed to work out over most of the tile using the herringbone pattern. I would suggest maybe talking to Daltile or Home Depot to see what would be the best space to use. I just wanted to keep my grout lines to a minimum. The guy who helped me get everything together at Home Depot was exceptionally helpful, super friendly and did his best to help get the tile at the best price. I am very satisfied. We still have 2 more rooms to go!! I have included some pictures of the finished room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely wood tile Love this wood tile! It really looks great. I wasn't too sure about it at first so we only did the kitchen and laundry room. Once it was in and grouted, I loved it. My contractor said we had enough left over to do the hallway and guest bath. Well, that looked even better and off to Home Depot I went to order enough to do the living room and den! It looks great and for the price, you can't beat it. The texture is great and not slippery at all. No need for throw rugs under furniture to keep it from sliding. It really is beautiful tile.
