Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by PJCC Damp Rid Refill Great for DIY Refill of the Damprid Hanging Product
This was the cheapest refill at Home Depot for damprid. It opens and closes easily, stores in the
pouch better than the previous plastic container refills.
I used it for a DIY project to refill the one time use hanging pouches. I cut hanging pouches top
and bottom. Empty the fluid in the bottom. Refill the crystals from this refill pouch in the top.
Lastly, I use an extra strong tape on the sliced openings top and bottom of the hanging pouch.
I've already done this to make a second use of the hanging pouch, I'm now trying a third time.
42 oz goes a long ways as a refill for the hanging pouches, much more than several refills.

Use this as the refill for my damp rid system. Useful for reducing moisture & preventing mold in small places such as stored cars, closets, safes, boats, rv's, campers, cabinets, etc... Used this product for many years and have had good results.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by rebel1 WORKS OK BUT NOT AS ADVERYISED ON PKG.
The crystals don't seem to entirely disolve before the moisture collected needs to be emptied, but the remaining cake of damp crystals seems to be flushable wihen you pour the colleced moisture into the toilet

Zip-top bag makes refills easy. The product does a reasonable job for low moisture situations. I use mine under the sink.

Works extremely well. Current pricing works out to $1.44 per pound. You cannot buy calcium chloride for less.

I've been buying this stuff for quite some time (works well in closets, cabinets, etc), but I recently discovered that DampRid is simply calcium chloride flakes (commonly used as "salt" for icy sidewalks). You can buy flakes or pellets in bulk for 1/3 the cost to refill your containers.
