This might go in my basemet that has carpet, does it give off any condensation or any type of moisture that would ruin the carpet?

Asked by: Bmoney
Mine has not dripped or had any condensation on the outside of the fridge, (the keg on the inside will condense water if when you install / uninstall it of course. Note this is in western Oregon where it humid, but normally quite temperate.

Can tap be easily removed from top to be remounted through counter top?

Asked by: rtaylor
Yes. You would need to seal it. if it's far away, you'll need a longer tube from the keg to the tap

I've owned only danby kegerator's and the one I just bought works but doesn't have the digital temp on it and I paid the same money for the last danby I had that quit working on me that had the digital reader on it. I really miss that because there's no way now to know how cold your running it.

Only issue I had was figuring out the temp since the gauge is just a knob with a blue line and not any actual numbers. Once I got that dialed in it has been working smooth every since. 10/10 would recommend and buy again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Danby DKC5811BSL 5.8 cu ft kegerator The Danby DKC5811BSL 5.8 cu ft kegerator is a very good unit for the price. Plus it is American made! That is not the case for the majority of inexpensive kegerators out there. That being said, since this is an inexpensive model there is good and bad. First let’s go with the good: A 5lb aluminum CO2 tank, dual gage regulator showing tank pressure and beer line pressure, enough room to hold two 1/6 kegs without a problem, no problems holding temperature of the keg at 36 degrees with temperature control set half way, externally mounted CO2 tank to extend the refill time of your CO2, includes a good D type coupler to connect the keg, it looks good. Now for the bad: This is a cold plate refrigerator, so the temperature is constantly fluctuating and there seems to be a 4 degree difference between the top and bottom of unit. Not a big deal if using a 15.5 gallon keg, but a circulation fan is probably recommended (I used a 120mm computer fan with 4 screws to hold up off of bottom and an old 6v cell phone charger to power with the line run through the same hole as CO2 line), Some type of tower cooler is needed otherwise your first beer poured will be foam if sitting unused for a while (I used an old 3 inch computer fan I mounted to a box that I laid in the bottom of kegerator with hose going up into tower…however all in on one tower coolers can be found online if you want to go the easy route), beer line is only 5ft long…which is not a problem for most beers but some beers requiring higher pressures (greater than say 11psi) may cause foam because of speed of flow…a longer beer line would solve that, the pressure CO2 line comes with plastic clamps…need to replace with metal to ensure no CO2 leaks, the 17 inch ¼ or ½ over sized coors/miller kegs do not fit (kegerator is only 16¾ inches deep), however the standard half 15.5 gallon kegs, the quarter 7.75 gallon kegs or a couple of the sixth 5 gallon kegs fit fine. Besides a couple of these small modifications needed it is a very good kegerator!
