Does this have a temperature control? What is the range? Is it a dial or digital?

The owners manual says the wine cooler will cool from 41-58 degrees depending on the placement of the wine bottle, the lowest shelf being the coolest. The temp control is a dial on the back top of the unit (low, med, max). There is no interior read out for the actual temperature and nothing is digital.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice little wine fridge I purchased this cooler as a replacement for another brand that quit working. I chose it over others because it would cool to a lower temperature (44 degrees according to the owners manual) compared to about 50 degrees for most. It also had to fit a specific area of our pantry. I have owned it about six weeks and it functions quite well. The temp control is a dial rather than digital, so I don't know the exact temperature inside the unit without putting a thermometer in it. Also, it says it holds 17 bottles, but you would be hard pressed to get more than about 12 inside. Overall I am pleased considering the price I paid and the size limitations I had to work with. I would consider this wine cooler a good basic unit and a good value. January 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Product this is my second Danby wine cooler. Had the first one about 10 years. This one is good but you cannot raise the temperature above 57 degrees. Red wine should not be stored below 57 degrees and not above 65. December 23, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful frig I have been buying these wine frigs instead of a regular mini frig for my office at work for several years now. They have more useable space than a mini frig and this one is the best one I've had yet. This one has flat metal shelves in it instead of curved so it works great for pop and water. The temp gets a little cooler than the normal wine frig but it won't get so cold that it freezes stuff---very very satisfied---oh yeah and it looks so much nicer than a mini frig too December 11, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Performs as expected. Performs as expected. Could have more internal bottle stability so they do not roll out. December 11, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by adequate wine cooler Good for red wines as not real cool. Noise is minimal. Nice that you are able to reverse the door. Good basic wine cooler. July 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Little Wine Chiller So far so good with this wine chiller. We wanted a small counter top unit that was self defrosting. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles like some but it was well rated/reviewed and does what we want perfectly. Shipped to us quickly and undamaged. June 16, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Danby Wine Cooler Very nice product and very good transaction. My online purchase was very easy no problems at all. Product was delivered two or three days earlier than promised. So far the cooler is keeping my bottles nice and cold. February 25, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Never worked Although we can hear the fridge running, it never cooled below room temperature. Complete waste of money. We bought ourselves a see-through box basically. February 21, 2012
