I wanted a beer fridge for my new cabinets and this works perfectly. I store both cans and bottles upright and sideways, either way works. I think I removed one shelf to configure it the way I wanted. The fridge keeps the beer decently cold, can't say it's icy but it is fine. I have no complaints at all.

My only issue is because of the way it's leveled, it looks like the door isn't closed all the way and I have to take a closer look at it to make sure it is shut. The unit has only one "leveler" screw on the front right corner. I wish it had one on each of the four corners.
We put a mixture of wine bottles, beer bottles, cans and water bottles in it. If we have more bottles than cans we have to lay them horizontally, and stack them, but it's not a huge deal.
I don't know about the energy efficiency yet, but I do hear it running. It's not silent.
Overall, I'm happy with it.

I read lots of reviews before I purchased.
Almost all negatively commented on the racks. I agree. The racks are hard to work with. Danby, go back to the drawing board on that one!
Whereas the cooler is fine for wine, it doesn't get refrigerator cold to store milk.
Needs better leveling system.
Looks good. Not noisy - low whirling.
Suits the purpose and place that I ordered it for. But I haven't had it plugged in month yet, so the vote is still out as to durability or if the Danby company and Home Depot stand behind their product.

I bought this refrigerator to serve as a built in refrigerator for my kitchen (even though that is not what it is built for).
When we received the refrigerator, it was in perfect condition and the packaging was sufficient so that the cooler was not damaged during shipping. We promptly unpacked the refrigerator and installed it in our kitchen. I will say you definitely get what you pay for. This is a good, working refrigerator, but it is definitely not "state-of-the-art." The parts a manufactured sufficiently, but they are not prime quality. For example, when we opened the cooler for the first time, the part that is attached to the bottom of the door )that is intended to turn the light off when the refrigerator is closed) broke off.
That being said, the customer service for Danby is amazing. We called the warranty hotline and they were very kind and helpful in replacing the part for free. Shipping was also free and re-installing the part was simple.
Keep in mind the shelves for the cooler are intended for 12 oz soda cans, so if your beer cans are over 12 oz, it may be a tight fit.
Overall, the cooler has worked out well for us during the 2 months we've had it.

I love this can cooler. I used to keep wine/beer in a tiny fridge. I like that the shelves are adjustable so that I can put wine on he bottom shelf and beer bottles on the other shelves. I have water on the top shelf and it fits just fine. It is not silent, but you can hear when it cycles on and off. It is not distracting at all though. I was hesitant when the description said the on/off switch was on the back, but it is right at the top and very easy to reach. I would highly recommend this cooler.
