Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nh2581 Overall great
Overall we really like the dishwasher and I was a little nervous after reading some of the other reviews and not being able to see it prior to ordering it online. We have only had the dishwasher installed for a few weeks but it works great. We have a family of 3 and fit quite a bit in the machine.
Only reason for not 5 stars are pretty minimal: I wish the buttons explained what cycle they were rather than just a picture (the pictures dont make sense, and I always forget), and the silverware rack is a little cheap. I had been worried that the front would be really cheap based on other reviews, but I am actually okay with it.

We are very happy with this Danby dw. Clean dishes very very well.
It is very quiet. It is a smooth operater. You can hardly tell that it is running. This contribute to its energy effeciency and low operating cost. We are glad we bought this Danby and saved alot of money doing so.
It is well built, stainless steel inside and out for longer durability.
It has great fetures that you onli find in the top end models like stainless steel tub, dual water jets, up and down racks. You can put alot of dishes on the top and lower racks and all get clean.
It has all the features of top end model except for the price!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mamabear Quality product at a better price than other 18" dishwashers.
So far, so good! We have had the Danby dishwasher installed and operational now for about 3 weeks and have not had any problems. It was considerably less expensive than the other name brands. We were a little skeptical at first since we had not heard of Danby before, but we have been very pleased with the results. It gets the dishes very clean and dry. However, I do rinse the dishes really well even before putting them in the dishwasher - I have always done that and it works for me - so I can't say for sure whether it works as well on stuck-on food and really dirty dishes or not. It does have a long cycle time (almost 3 hours), but I just run it at night and it's not a problem. It doesn't seem very loud at all to me. It is a very good value for the price. Highly recommend!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SavannahJul Cheap outside, expensive interior, cheap racks
This product is nice looking on the outside, but the stainless steel on the outside flexes when you push on it. The rack design isn't the greatest, but not the worst. The inside of the unit seems to be high quality stainless. The racks are fine but maybe could have been a bit more heavy duty. If you pull too hard when pulling out the bottom rack, it might go flying! The dishes seem to get sparkly clean so no complaint there. I used the cycle that takes over an hour - there are 3 that take longer but it seems like overkill. Just started using the product - time will tell! It had the best ratings of the 18 inch dishwashers and a significantly lower price than the more recognizable brands, even with shipping. Shipping was precise and unit came in perfect shape, as scheduled.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by AngelaM Good machine
Works well, cleans the dishes. I have large plates so it doesn't hold more than 4 place settings, including saucers, bowls, glasses and cups. For a single person or couple, it's a great machine, and fits well in small spaces/kitchens. It's quiet, washes well.
The only reason for 4 stars is because it doesn't seem to dry well. I wash in the evening and usually unload the next evening after work, and they are still wet. It's my first machine though, so that might be normal, but I saw other complaints about that. All in all, it's minor and not a big deal.
It is small though, and won't handle pots, pans, mixing bowls etc, but I'm used to washing those by hand anyway, and probably wouldn't put them in a full size machine to begin with.
There's very limited selection for 18 inch machines, and I was told by my appliance repair guy that they are all basically "this machine, built by the same company, and re-branded by others", so I bought the least expensive, this one, and I'm happy with the purchase.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by maryinthefalls performs as promised
I didn't want to loose two cabinets by going with a full size dishwasher. This unit only required loosing one. It performs exactly as promised - quiet, simple to use, washes well, and holds sufficient quantity of dishes. You can't jam many pots and pans into one load, but I can hand wash those. Use the modern, high quality gel pack soap, and forget the nonsense about needing water softening salt and drying agent. The normal wash takes 2:45.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mojokojo Good for the price
This dishwasher is good for the money. The black on the bottom is only plastic. Liked the fact that the bottom is not a toe in. It is flush. Photo is deceiving. The stainless steel is not figure print proof, but is ok. The racks are not as heavy duty as other dishwashers, lower quality, but ok. The top rack has the sprayer as does the bottom. This is a great quality to have 2 sprayers. Overall price fits quality. Just ok for 2 people and we wanted to save money.
