Answer:
Once a wash cycle has finished, the dishwasher will not continue to draw water (much like a garden hose equipped with a spray nozzle in the "off" position). Therefore, it is safe to leave the dishwasher hooked up to a running faucet. However, we do ultimately recommend turning off the water supply after every use.

Answer:
Hello Njtransplant, the unit comes with an econo-dry cycle, however, we recommend to open the door once the cycle is done in order to let the steam release from the cabin.

My Danby model #DDW1899BLS-1 has 7 program buttons. Do the wash cycle descriptions correspond to the buttons on the machine left to right?

I looked at the manual and the program buttons on the dishwasher. The first button looks to be pictured as pots/pans, yet the description says "normal". The second button looks to be plates and the second description says "intensive". Are the descriptions reversed?

Thanks!

Answer:
Hello LCdeer, you are correct, the icon with the pots/pans is the intensive cycle, so you should follow the instructions from right to left.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 51 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Difficult Purchase Resolved The first dishwasher didn't work, but the folks at the Mattoon store were very helpful in getting it returned and a new one purchased. I am pleased with the product in general (cleans dishes well, etc.) but I'm not so pleased with the racks and silver basket. I will get used to it! June 7, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good value so far so good ive not had this unit long enough to judge long term quality. May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I love the size of this dishwasher This was easy to install, and it looks great with my black microwave and stainless ovens. Perfect choice for a small space! May 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great little dishwasher There aren't many dishwashers available in this small size, but this one is a winner. Very quiet, stainless steel inside (vice plastic), nice front panel features, etc. And a great price on top of it all. The dishwasher has only been in use for a couple of weeks, but we're very happy with it. So far, so good. May 3, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not sure yet Unsure about performance yet. Purchased item over 30 days ago. First dishwasher came damaged and had to be returned. Second dishwasher arrives undamaged, however, the water valve is defective and needs replaced so we have to wait another 7-10 days. As of today, would not recommend product. April 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bought two ,niether worked We bought this dishwasher, but in white.Dishwasher did not work upon arrival.reordered thinking this was a fluke .next dishwasher arrived ,it did not work! When we returned it to Home Depot ,one of the workers there said only 1 in 99 of those worked .Ordered a different brand of dishwasher (Frigidaire) Worked immediately upon installation. My experience steer clear of Danby. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Purchase This dishwasher replaced an existing unit. Easily fit in the cabinet and hookup was no problem. This dishwasher has more features than our previous model and dishes come out clean and dryer. Very happy with is purchase. April 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good dishwasher for a small apartment this is a very nice dishwasher even though it is only 18 inches wide. If you need a small dishwasher, this is a good buy. January 26, 2016
