Do you ship to home? Do you remove old one and install. If yes what are the costs?

Do you ship to home? Do you remove old one and install. If yes what are the costs?
Asked by: Ron
It was easiest for us to get white glove delivery - its an added $100 but it was worth it. They brought it right into the kitchen, Took it out of its shipping container and took all of the shipping materials with them. I had my plumber install it - haven't got the bill yet but I can't imagine it will be more than $150.

Customer Reviews

18 in. Front Control Dishwasher in White with Stainless Steel Tub is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 67.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great dishwasher, BUT.... This is a great little dishwasher, dishes come out sparkling clean every time! Price can't be beat! The only problem was getting one that was undamaged from the factory. I had to order 3, even with instructions to double check before packing and extra packing. Home Depot was wonderful about reordering and giving special instructions. Just be sure to open pkg. BEFORE leaving store to save your self possible extra trip. Cartons aren't damaged, just product inside!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from OK so far Got this home in one piece, was worried after reading reviews of dents and broken parts. I'm not an expert in using these things, but it was farily straightforward to install. Kinda think the built in softener is over the top, but got the rare and expensive dishwasher salt from ebay, until I find a local source. Wife thinks it's small, of course it's small, but it does do a good job on dishes and encourages frequent loads which helps too. Can't really speak to durability yet, But it seems like a pretty good dishwasher for the money. Quiet compared to the Maytag portable it replaces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy!! This was my first dishwasher purchase. I had limited space so I needed to go with an 18 inch model. I did research and read reviews. I had never heard of Danby before, so I looked them up. They are a company from Canada specializing in smaller appliances, mostly dehumidifiers and refrigeration. I figured they knew what they were doing when it came to smaller versions, and they were one of the least expensive brands. The number of positive reviews were almost equal to the number of negative reviews. However, the negative comments were mostly about cosmetic things (dents or broken pieces upon arrival). So when I went to pick up my dishwasher (yes, it had to be ordered online. Most places don't keep 18 inch models in stock), I had them unpack it and I inspected it there in the store. It was all fine. I looked at the owners manual online, and was able to get all the material needed for hookup. My son and dad installed it, and said it went in quite easily. Like a few European models, this dishwasher has a built in water softening system. I purchased the salt off of Amazon since I haven't been able to find it locally yet. I love this feature since we have very hard water. By following the manufacturer's loading suggestions, I am able to fit all of our daily dishes in it (a family of 4). Only my larger pots and pans won't fit. As this is my first ever dishwasher, I can only compare it to dishwashers I have experienced in other homes, but so far I am VERY PLEASED. I would definitely recommend this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality I had to return the first dishwasher due to snapped off hose connecting to the water reservoir. It is a good thing we noticed it prior to installation. I had seen that comment in the reviews but ignored it. The company sent us a new one. The second one also broke before it was even installed. This time, when my husband opened the door the first time, the plastic door latch immediately snapped. Needless to say, we decided to buy something else. I don't recommend that you waste your time on this product. The quality is not there. Cheap plastic. Home Depot made the return process very easy both times, but what a waste of our time and energy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 18 inch Danby dishwasher Got dishwasher home after awaiting arrival from factory which took three weeks. Upon arrival an inspection at home found water softener tub on bottom side of dishwasher was cracked. Try to get replaced by going through Danby to no avail. Had to order from alternate website will not recommend or use again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buy at Great Risk The main washer pump assembly started leaking after just over a year and needed replacement. I have now been waiting almost a month with two parts suppliers to get the part I need back in stock. Danby keeps stringing me along a week at a time saying the part will ship in "tone week." But it doesn't. Also, if you live in the U.S. even though Home Depot says it offers an extended warranty (I tried to buy one when I ordered it but it never came) it turns out the extended warranty is only available in Canada.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from had to return it due to manufacturing defect Glad I looked under the unit during the first run. Leaked so bad I wanted to call Noah. Called Danby instead and they were very helpful in getting a warranty service to look at it. He discovered a sizable dent in the case that popped an upper seam. Carton was not damaged so defect had to get past quality control before it went in the box. HD took it back without hassle. Will reserve the recommendation until I get the new one installed. Ya, I'll give Danby another chance. Rep said otherwise, seemed like a good unit. Also, foot bracket/kick plate assembly was bent so it was hard to get on and off and didn't line up properly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I don't usually do reviews. But I am so happy with this dishwasher. I had to go with a smaller dishwasher due to space in my kitchen. I was a little worried. But I was surprised at how many dishes it can hold. And does a great job cleaning them. I can put dishes with dried on food that I would have to soak to get clean. It has taken on every challenge I gave it. And quite. I have a open floor plan. And I barely notice it running. If there was any con, I would say the time. But if you're not in a hurry to have clean dishes. Then it don't matter. I would buy again.
