Answer:
The Danby 38-Bottle Capacity Dual Zone Wine Cooler is suitable for installation in a base cabinet space, as long as none of the vents are blocked and 1" spacing is provided on the sides and back.

Answer:
Hello Paul, We recommend you to transport your unit standing up. But if for any reason you MUST have the unit on the side, you will need to allow the unit to sit standing up UNPLUGGED for 24 hours to let the refrigerant settle.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 63 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Wine Cooler for the money We previously owned this wine cooler for 8 years with no problems. Finally it started making a motor noise which would eventually go away. We decided to go ahead a purchase a new one not knowing when old one would go out....maybe never. Anyway new one is as perfect as the first. Has ample room for both red and white wines and keeps at exact temp you want. Easy to use October 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Daby wine fridge The stainless look really is upscale and compliments our kitchen which has stainless appliances. I like the look of the wood shelves and it's great that is is dual temp. which is perfect for storing wines, red and white. Also have some beer and sodas in there as well! October 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love my wine cooler I've had my wine cooler for about one month now and it works as it was designed to. I love the dual zones for white and red wines and the temperature controls are easy to use. I also love the wood shelves in this wine cooler vs. wire cradles. The wood racks can accommodate larger size bottles of wine/champagne that precast wire cradles cannot. The wine cooler is in my rec room, so I don't notice when it cycles and, therefore, can't speak to how silent it is. It does everything it was advertised to do and looks great! I paid for white glove delivery and it came on time and in perfect condition. I'm glad I decided to buy this cooler and I would definitely recommend it. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Danby Wine Refrigerator This Danby wine refrigerator is a winner. It looks good, has 2 zones to chill the wine and it holds 38 bottles of wine. August 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fits more than I thought I read countless reviews online about wine fridges and was apprehensive to purchase one because most seemed to either (1) not fit enough bottles or (2) become defective in some way. We wanted a fridge that would hold a fair amount of wine (but had the capacity for some larger bottles), didn't have the wire racks (for purely aesthetic reasons), and preferably that had 2 temperature zones. We pulled the trigger and purchased the 30-bottle capacity dual zone wine cooler and couldn't be happier with that decision. I've attached a picture, so you can see the approximate height between the shelves. They pull out easily, fit 5 across (unless the bottle is very wide), the temperature is consistent, and it is quiet. The top and bottom shelves are larger and best for your sparkling, or larger-bottled reds. September 26, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by so so wine cooler I had ordered 1 before that came in dented. Home Depot was very good with getting a return done. That unit also had a strong smell. Kinda like rubber on a tire. The second one came in perfect. It too has a distinct rubber smell. I've had this now almost two months and still has a slight rubber smell. I had a Fridgeaire where I had no issue with oder but it only had one set temperature and was hard to adjust. This one has two zones, but there is not a great adjustment as far as temperature. I would say for the money it is a good buy, but if you want something that has more flexibility and hopefully not smell like a tire, I would seek something else. March 3, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do Not Purchase I have had this cooler for a little more than 1 year. The warranty is only 1 year. It is now leaking and I will need to replace this unit. Extremely disappointed in the quality of such a unit that is just over 1 year old. March 16, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Awful packaging and handling I had to receive 3 before I got one that wasn't damaged. The refrigerator works well though and was a good value. March 9, 2016
