I bought this to replace a 50 pt Frigidair that was recalled. The Frigidair turned on/off as required to keep the humidity at my setting. The Arctic Aire runs the fan all the time while cycling on/off its dehumidification function. The end result is more air circulation and suprisingly less "water bucket empty" trips. Calculated total energy costs (generation & transmission) around $8.60 per month with a P3 kill a watt EZ unit running 24 hrs per day. Very quiet unit!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by linda2954 doesn't work at all
our unit arrived a couple of days ago. we've been running it 24/7 and it hasn't collected any moisture. what did we miss???? I wrote this review under the wrong unit. same or similar model# as 70 pint. we got the 50 pint.
How do I get this fixed? The reviews were good so I never expected any issues and threw the box out....

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by dmax0101 Good instructions and easy to set-up
My basement has a tendency to be damp so it's essential to run a dehumidifier. My old one died and I neglected replacing it for several months until I could no longer stand the damp, musty smell. I have been using this new unit for about a month and once again my basement smells much, much better. I am very satisfied so far with my new dehumidifier and would recommend it to anyone.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Carl I compared this dehumidifier with others and it appeared to be a good buy
I had to replace my existing dehumidifier because it was recalled and the Home Depot that I shop in did not have a good selection to choose from so I went to their online site and found one that fit my requirements. It's only been installed a few weeks but it appears to be doing an excellent job. I wish they would remove the excess plastic in the bucket and make it so it could hold more water

Living in a high humidity region we need something that works. This has met my expectations and then some. Does a good job and is relatively quiet. I had another one that was VERY noisy and returned it and ordered this one after reading the reviews.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Medmankev This product has functioned as advertised
This unit has been trouble free since the day it was delivered. I decided to use the drain hose with a condensate pump and not the condensate collector. I am very satisfied with the operation of the unit. Hopefully I can add to this review in the future. This unit was a little more expensive than other units in it's class, but other reviews suggested this unit was worth the extra. So far i agree

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Vitohop So far so good
I have only had these dehumidifiers for a few months.
I purchased 4 of them for maintenance rooms at a beachside condo, and so far they are working quite well.
What I don't know yet is how long they will last, but so far they are doing the trick.

So far this dehumidifier has performed great. No more moldy smell in the basement & no sweaty pipes. Does make the area it is in a little warmer, but feels 100% better with the lower humidity. I use the drain hose that came with it so I don't have to empty the tank, which would fill pretty quick. Use the factory setting of 60% relative humidity and that seems to be perfect.
