Store/hookup under the sink?

Our counter top is not big enough to accommodate something this size. If we stored it under the sink, how possible it is to either hook it up and detach it with each use OR is it possible to add a connection underneath the sink to hook it up to?
Asked by: Ruby
I think this dishwasher is designed on the counter top not under the sink, have these reasons why: a) after its finish the cycle or washing you have to open the unit to dry your dishes b) the washer will retain some water inside the dishwasher, this will create problem in the near future. My best advise is to get dishwasher that"s built in, this thing can be place under the sink.

Is there a certain type of dish soap that is best for the dish washer?

It did not say any thing in reviews or the question I looked at. Can you also use a special glassware protector like jet dry?
Asked by: bobbyjo
I have been using my dishwasher for 3 months never used any Jet Dry don't think you need one, used Cascade complete from Costco only around $15.00 for 90 uses my dishes are clean and look new everytime. Hope this helps.

Countertop Dishwasher in White is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 136.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I need two of these This dishwasher works very well and is light enough that if you wanted to start your own after-party, clean-up business, you could easily haul it from place to place. But I think it's highest unsung feature is that it works great in tandem with one just like it stacked on top. Fill one with your dirty dishes, and leave the other empty. You never have to put your dishes in the cupboard again. Take the clean ones out as you need them and when your are done, put them back in the empty one. When it fills up, run it and it repeat the process in reverse. I can't believe I never thought of this before. These devices aren't a just dishwashers. They are cabinets that wash your dishes!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good For Small Spaces I got this as a gift a few Christmases ago. It didn't fit on my countertop, so I put it on a rolling cart and just store it to the side of my kitchen. It holds slightly less than advertised, unless you use smaller than average dishes. I can still fit about a day's worth of two people's dishes in it, and run a second load with pots and pans. It runs fairly quietly, with the loudest parts of the cycle being filling up and draining. My dishes generally come out clean, with minimal pre-rinsing required. As long as large pieces of solid debris are removed, it takes care of the rest. I do add a drop of Dawn if I have a tough mess to clean, which usually does the trick. Overall, it's a good little dishwasher that has served my small household well for the past 2 years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is perfect for me. I live in a small apartment , and I find that this portable countertop dish washer is absolutely perfect.. It holds most all my dirty dishes, heats the wash water to 150% which is wonderfull as that sanitises the dishes, is very quiet, easy to operate, and the most wonderful applience I have purchased in years. I ordered this product after speaking with a young lady at the customer service desk at our local store in Sheridan, Wyo. She put the order in for me, Had it delivered by UPS to my front door within a week, It took me aproxamately ( 1 ) hour to set it up, put all the fitting,s on , and load it with dishes. Love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Danby Countertop Dishwasher I am disabled lady living alone and in an apartment with no built in dishwasher. Standing up doing dishes has become very difficult for me now so when I saw this online at Home Depot website I knew it would be just thing to put beside my sink. It was fairly easy to set up and I only needed a wrench to get the aerator off the faucet and screw on the hose connector for the in/out water hose. It was packed very well and arrived undamaged. I picked it up at the store and they put it n the back of my Honda Element. You do need two strong people to get it in the house as it is pretty heavy for two ladies. This is making my life much easier and more manageable and I can actually go in there and cook without worrying about the clean up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bigger than I thought I love this machine! I was a little worried about getting a counter top model because I'm a mom with 4 kids and thought it would be too small for us. I don't let my dishes sit and this has turned out to be just the right size. I typically run it 2x a day and it keeps up with us. It was easy to set up and really cleans the dishes. It's also amazingly quiet. My old full size was loud, had an annoyingly long wash cycle, and didn't clean the dishes unless I hand washed them first. I definitely recommend this dishwasher!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This dw is a life saver!! Excellent features! Telling everyone! Mom gave me this dw for my birthday! What a fabulous gift! No more dirty dishes! Being "clean dish" obsessive, I'm extremely pleased with it's performance! I rinse the dishes before loading & open to clean sparkling dishes everytime. It has all the features I wanted. I'm surprised that it isn't noisy. Couldn't be easier to load, operate & easy to clean. Thrilled it came with faucet adapter so ready to use! I have no problem recommending this dw & hope that you enjoy yours too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Serves the purpose Everything is fine with this dishwasher. It serves the purpose: 1. No need to alter your kitchen cabinets or create new plumbing. 2. Able to wash most of the regular utensils such as plates, cups, cutlery, bowls, etc. There are two limitations to think about: 1. You cannot wash plastic lids and utensils if they are recommended for top tray, as there is no top tray since it only has half the height of a regular dishwasher. 2. Other than cutlery, any utensil with diameter/diagonal taller than 10.5 inches would not fit vertically. If you try placing it at an angle or horizontally then the water flow is blocked. One design issue with the tray: if you want to add couple of more small bowls to the tray by removing the cutlery basket, there is no bar at the bottom to hold them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The standard in countertop dishwashers This is my second Danby countertop dishwasher, the first lasting 8 years. That comes to about $2 a month for very clean dishes! To repair the pump in my old unit is just $50 short of a new unit so I opted to replace it with this years model. This model is also one of the few with a stainless steel inside. It is even quieter than my older model and with the electonics in the door there is more room inside for dishes. I really like the option of using water lines to my plumbing under the sink which gives you more options as to were to place the washer and not being restricted to a hose to sink attachment.
