What can you say about a tool of this type? It has taken a beating - literally! I needed it to remove concrete around water pipes. I didn't want to use the jack hammer so close to the pipes since they were active. The target/hand guard saved my thumb and write too many times to count. This is a great tool if you need to bust small amounts of concrete by hand.

Tool had a good feel and comfortable grip for short time. Brand new, target guard slipped up to top with only 5 to 10 direct strikes to target head and had to be hit back down over and over again. Few missed hits, but bruising from occasional strikes to slipped up target guard.
Small project was to break off a rough side of an old concrete post footing. Matched chisel with 3 lb sledge. Tool removed outer layer in small chips but only scratched tougher concrete with repeated hard strikes. Chisel could not break off any large pieces. After 45 minutes use, target head mushroomed and point became dull. Product didn’t perform as featured and headed to returns. Rotary hammer needed to complete job.

Not only is it good to start the hole on the ground, but also, the yellow hand protector "target" can be removed to hold a spike while driving it into the ground, thus protecting the hand, and serving as a great target to strike with the heavy hammer..

Chisel is making progress on a piece of concrete I couldn't make much progress with a sledge hammer on. It's still a lot of work but I'm breaking up a 24x30X12 inch chunk of very hard concrete and the chisel hasn't dulled or need dressing on the head so I'm pretty happy with it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ScrapperBob Simple, functional, manly
Bought to knock out some hold window masonry. As advertised - durable, functional. Went well with the 3lb sledge I also purchased. A good tool to have and keep for when you need it.
