Answer:
Not an expert, but sounds iffy to do without breaking. If breakage is not a problem, then go for it with what ever hammers and pry bars you got.

Answer:
Yes, this is an excellent choice for removing a backsplash.
If you are trying to remove longer pieces of granite intact, you might consider using multiple prybars spaced evenly along the length of the granite to help keep it from cracking.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome! Had spent 3 hours trying to rip-up tack board with a hammer = 1 wall! Came and bought this tool ... 30 mins = 3 walls of tack board gone! July 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just right for small spaces These tools give you options which work in small spaces. It is also just right for children to use on their projects if they need to. July 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Flat mini pry bar worked perfectly To remove a sink side splash, I needed a flat crowbar to break the seal between the sidesplash and the drywall while minimizing the damage to the drywall. There was a flat bar contained in this set that worked perfectly. I'm surprised more of the smaller pry bars aren't flat like this. Nice addition to my tool kit. June 29, 2016
