Purchased on 01/31/2016 to use to terminate Cat6 sheilded cable in a new construction house. Approximately 65 keystone jacks are being implemented and this tool was recommended by a Home Depot associate while attempting to pick out a 110 punchdown tool.
Associate was explained what the project was and was recommended the Datashark which was also on clearance. Picture on the front of the packaging matched my keystone style (Legrand WP3476-WH). Legrand is highly stocked and popular at Home Depot.
Now, several days later after I have moved in and going to begin the terminating my cables as I put together my rooms I unpackaged the Datashark, attached the CAT6 punch set, & looked for instructions on the package (which were (1) load the tool, (2) cut and crimp, and (3) unload), no paper instructions.
I chose to use the 568B wiring pattern, placed my wires in my keystone jack in the correct order, and went to load my keystone with wires into the Datashark tool. Guess what? It did not fit. The supplied "die" for the Cat6 apparently only works for the brands CE Tech and Levitron.
Hmm. the packaging did list those brands in the respect to replacement punch sets; however, the supplied picture is a misrepresentation of the tool. The tool specifications do not state for the buyer that the tool is to be used only for those two brands specifically vs the advertising which says that the Cat5 & Cat6 punches are included. I thought being a reasonable and intelligent person that this tool would terminate in general all keystones like the keystone pictured on the Datashark package.
Now I just spent several hours messing with this tool only to learn from other dissatisfied online Home Depot reviewers that the Datashark termination tool is a piece of junk. At first I just thought I was using the tool wrong, but sadly that wasn't the case and I was ready to use the tool to knock out some keystones.
Do not buy unless you are planning to use CE Tech or Levitron brand keystones. Will be purchasing a punchdown tool as originally planned and likely throw this thing in the dumpster.

Purchased the tool plus the associated Cat 6 jacks only to discover on the job site that the image of the tool on the package doesn't match what's provided. Inside the package is one Cat 5 die (also called a "punch set") plus a Cat 6 die. But the Cat 6 die enclosed is only for Leviton brand modular jacks, not (a) the jacks sold by Home Depot, nor (b) the jacks portrayed on the DataShark product packaging.
The image on the DataShark product packaging matches the Cat 6 jacks sold by Home Depot. So I assumed these were compatible when I made the purchase.

Includes the wrong punch sets than what's advertised on the package.

The packaging is misleading. This tool works great for Cat 5/e but is completely inadequate for Cat 6 as the insert contained in the package does not match what is pictured on the packaging.

The packaging shows a specific jack punch but the termination tool does not come with that punch down jack holder and there is no way to buy additional punch down tool. Went into HomeDepot for customer service and was told they would have to call the manufacture about the problem. However they left the mislabeled one on the shelf for someone else to buy.

Just like some of the other reviewers, I purchased this based on the packaging -- which showed a punch compatible with the CE Tech jacks sold right next to it at Home Depot. But the included Cat6 punch isn't compatible. Unacceptable.

I bought this thinking I could easily punch down cat5 and cat6 Jacks. It says on the packaging that it can and even shows one of the Jacks like I have. The thing is, they don't include the punch set shown on the packaging - which is what I need.
