Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Henry I disregarded all the negative reviews on here and bought it, and when I got the box open I found that one of the MDF supports was completely split in half, and the pegboard and work surface were both heavily chipped and damaged. Returned it the next day. Don't make my mistake. If you do, expect to replace some or preferably all of the flimsy MDF with real plywood. The steel seemed sturdy enough.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HD123 I am an old lady with limited skills and strength. I found the unit easy to put together, though be careful of the directions as they sometimes make a mistake as to left or right. The only issue was the drawer, which honestly requires two people. I handled it by propping up one side on a chair so I could get the drawer slides in on one side, then moved to the other. The unit is absolutely as described, perhaps better than some of the reviews. My unit was not damaged in any way, and I was able to install it with only my limited skills. It is a shame it doesn't have a light, as the top shelf cries out for one. The unit looks good, is fantastic value for money and will serve me for many years. My only problem was the weight of the package. The package is quite small, but very very heavy. I had to have help loading it at Home Depot and then again at my home, unloading. Then, when I went to assemble it, it was hard to move the box around so I could do the assembly from a chair. But, all in all, a great purchase. Thank you Home Depot.

The back pegboard bows out and the top shelf sags down with even a little weight. The drawer sticks and has to be tugged out. Not sure I would purchase another one.

There was some wood damage! Chipped corners and one of the 4FT. X 2FT. boards is cracked. I was not happy with this product.

-assembly not complicated
-The slots were SO tight that it took some serious pounding with a rubber mallet to assemble. Some of the pieces took 30-40 hits in order to get the pieces in the slots.
-Some of the metal pieces had scratches. This didn't bother me personally because it's a workbench meant to be used, not a piece of artwork, but some reviewers said it bothered them so I thought I'd mention it.
Overall I'm very pleased.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Joe Nice bench for the price.
This bench has many features like easy to construct, ironically because the assembly instructions were terrible. Most important is the many areas to place and store equipment. The quality matches the purchase price, you get what you pay for. The worst thing was that I ordered it for store delivery, I will never do that again. It took three weeks to finally arrive, after the store first lost it then discovered the wrong label was on it, then it had to be reshipped to the store which was going to take another two weeks, I had to finally cancel it then reorder it to be delivered to my home which graciously I was not charged any additional shipping.

While it's certainly not a high end piece of equipment, it's cheap and functional. The only real complaint I have is that every board had a ding on at least one corner. Since there was only one tiny piece of wood floating around in the box, I assume the damage was done before the kit was packed. That's just bad. But it's cheap. When the fiberboard starts to disintegrate, I'll replace it with real wood.
After adding a power strip and LED lights, it's turned out to be a pretty decent workbench.

Was looking for a small workbench to place in my workshop. I am a reloader and needed a little extra space for some of my equipment. Workbench did not cost too much and was rated to support the amount of weight that I needed. Everything looked good online so I went ahead and ordered it. Shipping was inexpensive and fairly quick. When I opened the box I was already to set it up and get some work done. I immediately noticed that one of the pieces of particle board that was supposed to serve as the top of the work bench had a huge hole in it. I double checked the outside of the box and there were no signs of damage to the box. After speaking to the local home depot on the phone and having to drive to the store twice, it has now cost me more in gas money and time than the cost of shipping the work bench and I have yet to receive a refund. Since Home Depot's customer service is so terrible I have since gone to my local Lowe's to purchase a comparable work bench at a comparable price and even received a 10% discount for being active duty military. Another thing I was told that Home Depot does not due and that it is up to each individual store. I can guarantee that I will never return to Home Depot and will spend the rest of my time and money at Lowe's.
