CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4 out of 5 by 314 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Should be carried in stores! Great quality for under $100. Looking at comparable models from Lowes and harbor freight this was definitely the best by far. Assemble took about 30 minutes and it helped to have a rubber mallet and a couple self tapping screws. rubber mallet to bang everything tight and self tappers to lower the peg board and fasten it to the back of the work bench. If your looking for storage compartments for it let me tell you what you need. first off all 3 drawer sterlite containers run 24"-25" in height and you can only have something up to 22.5". I purchased single drawers by sterlite and they fit perfect and kept all my detailing towels organized.... only drawback on my storage containers were their price.. $70!! almost as much as the workbench cost. but I can't complain much because I love my new garage set up! Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Benches For Electronics and Small Work Combine two of these w/some plywood and you get an excellent electronics/small appliance work area (two work areas, or two technicians.) For less than 100 bucks each, w/free shipping, I couldn't be happier. Please note that if you do what I do (flip the top "shelf" <more like 'bucket'> components, to allow you to screw a plank across the top) you'll want to secure the front cross bars (I use rivets.) Installed a pair that look just like these and beat the death out of them for almost 15 years (had to leave them behind when I moved.) Get some floor runner and cut it to protect the particle board. *Secret* if you span the benches by 17" back to back, you can bolt 19" rack stuff up in between. Sorry for the mess, just getting set up! Wish Home Depot was close to me today like it was in the Midwest. Thank You! June 5, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by GREAT!!! (for the money) This is a great value. The steel parts are not flimsy, high-gauge sheet metal. They're heavy, thick sheets that've been bent into strong structural members. Also, assembly was a breeze as almost all of the pieces did not require fasteners. You just slide the parts together and tap them in place with a rubber mallet (not included). Couple the finished product with Durahook brand hanging accessories, also sold at homedepot.com, and you get a great work area. HOWEVER, there was a small issue that had big consequences. The instructions were straightforward but the labels on the parts (indicated with small stickers) were reveresed on two parts. Unfortunately, those two parts were assembled in the first step, which meant I had to disassemble most of the framework to swap two pieces. Not a huge deal since there were no fasteners involved to that point, but frustrating nonetheless. Overall, definitely worth the money. You get a lot of workbench for your dollar. March 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fabulous but with some caveats I'm so glad I got this for my husband, (along with a Husky rolling tool cabinet and chest). His tools were all over the place... a real mess. He couldn't find anything! With this workbench, (along with the other tool-storage pieces), he's got himself pretty WELL-ORGANIZED now. The workbench seems like it should be fairly straight-forward in putting together. Alas, right out of the box, there was an additional piece of paper saying that the original 'DRAWER DIRECTIONS' needed amendment, (this piece of paper saying what you needed to do). As well, there was a great deal of confusion when attaching the two upright 'BACK BRACES', (that hold the top piece in place). And, there were SCRAP pieces of wood that actually had a tag on them that said, 'scrap', *lol*. Geez. Other than that, we're very happy with this piece. Once put together, it is STURDY as can be with plenty of room on the top for stuff, (baskets are good for this), and on the bottom for the larger, heavier power tools and things of that nature. The workbench is big enough, and strong enough, to feel MORE THAN CONFIDENT when working on projects. There is NO sense of 'flimsiness' at all. We also purchased a bunch of 'PEGBOARD STUFF' at Home Depot to hold the tools on the pegboard. You'd think they'd supply a half-dozen pegs just to get you started, but alas, they don't. So we had to go back to the store to get them. To me, there's nothing more aggravating than putting a piece together only to find you can't really use it until you buy more stuff for it. On that note, we got: 2-ea Everbilt 5 in. Peggable Power Tool Holder 1-ea Everbilt Wall-Mounted or Peggable Multipurpose Tool Holder 1-set Everbilt Peggable Wire Baskets (3-Pack) 2-sets of Pegboard Magnets, (I couldn't find them here online, but they're in the stores) Now that it's up-and-running, I will add that we're about to go back to Home Depot and get some kind of 'UNDER-CABINET LIGHTING' for it. I suggest that anyone buying this workbench do the same. It'll make all the difference in the world. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, so, have a look at mine. December 12, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great value, good quality. For the price, this was great. I spent some time sanding and putting multiple coats of water-based polyurethane sealer the bench surface itself since it's just low quality MDF (I coated the edges with wood filler/putty, as well). I also added a dimmable LED light strip to the top there. This makes it nearly a perfect bench. Very sturdy. As others have mentioned, pick up a mallet while you're at it - pretty sure that's the only way to really snap everything together. Also the slide-out drawer could really use some reinforcement. I'll look into that if it bothers me too much. December 9, 2014
