Dawn is one of those products that is synonymous with clean dishes but it can do so much more. Admittedly, I bought this mainly to clean the dishes since our dishwasher is waiting for repair parts. My wife mixes this with vinegar to make a cleaning solution for the stove and other places where greasy food might drip. She has also learned to use Dawn on laundry stains, especially the greasy kind, as it seems to do a better job of removing the stains than most of the spot removers. I have also use this on the driveway where the car sometimes leaves an oil spot.
Good features of Dawn
1. A little bit goes a long way.
2. Can be used to clean a multitude of greasy things.
3. It’s a great value.
4. Has a pleasant scent.
Room for improvement:
1. The lids can be prone to breaking.
2. It’s really hard to get the last little bit out of the bottle (without mixing it with water).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CleanFan Dawn is the Ultimate grease remover
I use Dawn not only to cut through the grease on washing dishes, but also in the laundry room to remove greasy stains from clothing. Prior to washing my clothes, I check for grease spots and rub a dab of Dawn on any spots before tossing the clothes into the washer. I also use a few drops of Dawn to make my own window cleaner and mix a few drops in my watering can to use on plants to deter insects in the soil as well as to use to mist my plants to klll aphids and spider mites. I have also used it as a non-toxic alternative to traditional bug sprays to spray outside for boxelder bugs. Works great and I feel good about not using toxic chemicals. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by klr1108 Won't use any other brand!
It's gotten to the point of when visiting others and offer to do the dishes, I get so exasperated when they don't have Dawn that I run out to get them some before leaving. Average is about three days when they call to say how fantastic this stuff really works and is still so soft on your hands...this is when they're informed of it's many other uses besides dishes. Stains on your favorite blouse? Hit it with a dab of Dawn before washing. Husband's greasy handprint on the wall? Hit it with a dab of Dawn. I've even used it as shampoo in an emergency! So Dawn, I'm a walking, talking, dish washing billboard for your company, you're welcome...hhehe [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I have been using Dawn Dishwashing liquid for many years. It does the joy on cleaning dishes with less dish detergent.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by mjeam Ok but doesn't last as long
Dawn comes out very thick and concentrated but they along with many other top dishwashing liquids no longer have the longevity to do a large load of dishes.
I remember years ago a small squirt gave us a sink load of long lasting suds but that has not been the case for several years requiring me to again add more dishwashing liquid during a big job.
In addition it doesn't seem to remove the grease the way it used to. In fact after doing a sinkload of dishes I have to scrub the sink down with comet to remove the grease
It is still better though then the bargins at the discount store. I think the quality has just gotten worse in general [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ladybug477 formula changed?
I don't know if the making of dawn has changed but my results are less than what I was used to. Soaking pans still requires scrubbing and more soaking. I use more, but bottles say 6x's, 8x's, 2x's; one must be economy formula, good, better, and the best....the best is most expensive. I buy smaller bottles/check other brands or cleaners . Ammonia, and laundry detergent might work. Wish the marketing/info was more straight forward to understand, as they definitely are not all alike.
