2-Cup Espresso and Cappuccino Maker is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just perfect for the price. This was my first espresso machine to ever buy, just because of how expensive others run. I worked at Starbucks for a year, needless to say got hooked on espresso drinks. I purchased this one and don't spend any more of my money at Starbucks, except to purchase their one pound espresso beans and have them grind them for me. The coffee comes out strong enough to mix with your steamed milk and capture the same sensation as a Starbucks latte, minus the $5 a pop. I can drink as much as I want now! :) I think the steam wand works great too; I haven't had any major problems with the milk not steaming right, if you know how to time it right it gets the job done. I usually pull my shots first and then pour more water in and steam the milk on the second steam.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Premature failure Used this espresso maker on a daily basis for the past year and a half - but this morning it failed to heat the water. As of yesterday I would have given it a high rating as it did everything that I wanted for a reasonable price, but 1 1/2 years of life is just unacceptable. Naturally it has a 1 year warranty...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design, Cheaply designed, machine does not perform as it is listed/labeled, item is an espresso coffee maker, The milk frothing feature requires repeated alternative steps which the instrucions do not cover. Much ingenuity is required if you must remove the carafe and then refill the water tank several times for it to produce enough steam for a single cup of cappuccino.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor design Although this machine makes a good cup of coffee, its' design leaves a lot to be desired. The 'black on black' color makes it difficult to see the level of coffee in the pot while it's brewing. The power-on switch and light are stuck on the lower side in the back, if you have it next to a toaster or wall you can leave it on all day without seeing that it's on. The worst thing is the milk steamer. The steamer spout is in the same area as the pot. As far as I can tell, the only way to steam milk is to finish making your espresso, turn it off, remove the pot completely, refill the water, start the brewing process and wait for the right moment to wriggle a small cup onto the steamer. Then try to remove it without spilling or burning yourself on the hot filter holder. Oh, and don't even consider getting help from the instruction booklet unless you speak Italian, French or Spanish. The English translation is useless.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from you get what you pay for, or less Price was right. Product looked good, unfortunately it was not a user friendly product. No matter how hard I tried, I could not get the coffee filter handle to align. If I turned the pot up side down it would align. But, that's not a viable option. It may have been the specific espresso maker and not an over all problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buy low end --expect low end....... I should have known that when you pay $40-$50 for an esspresso machine -- you get what you pay for. This unit broke on its first use and was returned.
