Customer Reviews

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 15 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very Disappointing I read great reviews on DeLongi dehumidifiers and decided to get one. I bought it in May 2015 and by October it had lost it's refrigerant charge and I had to pay $30 to ship it back for repair. Now it's June 2016 and out of warranty and has lost it's charge again. DeLongi says they won't fix it since it's out of warranty and even though I have had the same problem twice within a year they won't stand behind it. If you get one of these or already have one, get an extended warranty if you can. June 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good purchase This product does the job extremely well. I highly recommend it. July 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JUNK I BET THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO WRITE GOOD REVIEWS FOR THIS UNIT ARE THE ONES WHO DID NOT BUY IT FOR THE PUMP. THE PUMP DID NOT EVEN LAST 2 MONTHS. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE STORE. I HAD THIS SAME BRAND PREVIOUSLY AND IT LASTED NEARLY 10 YEARS. DEHUMIDIFIERS ON THE WHOLE IN RECENT YEARS HAVE GOTTEN A LOT MORE CHEAPLY MADE. IT MAKES ME WONDER IF THERE IS SOME NEW EXPENSIVE EPA RULE THAT HAS MADE THIS HAPPEN. YOU WILL HAVE TO SPEND MORE THAN THIS TO GET A PUMP THAT WORKS ON A DEHUMIDIFIER. June 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Meeting all of my expectations Using this dehumidifier in a very damp crawlspace. So far it pumps out several gallons of water daily. I have noticed minimum drying effect. I will run this unit continually until dampness is gone. Runs very quiet. June 9, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Reserving Judgment The unit was very easy to install. The instructions were quite confusing. I have an older DeLonghi 60-pint unit (and just threw away another identical unit) and this one works differently. I would like it better if the fan did not run full-time. I do not see how it can be an Energy Star if the fan runs constantly. I measured the amount of water it pumped out (using only with the pump) for a couple of days and so far am not convinced it compares well to the older units. It does pump some water. Waiting to see how it works in the humid days ahead. July 1, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Performs as Advertised -- and Hoped Ordered unit on a Thursday; UPS delivered on Friday. Set up within an hour after un-boxing, including reading instructions and carrying down rickety stairs to cellar. Doing great controlling humidity after 16 hours of operating; ditto one month later. Pump is terrific and carefree. Unit is a bit noisy, but it's an unfinished cellar. Real test will be mid-summer, but spring humidity is being handled well. Like other comments, not pleased that the unit runs all the time (fan only when humidity level is reached), but that does move air around. May 13, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by When it doesn't work DeLonghi doesn't care We live in the soggy PNW and dehumidifiers are crucial. We had to replace last year's model (similar), which was recalled because it has a component that bursts into flames. Couldn't get the replacement model/unit from the retailer. Ordered from another source, since we were happy with the old one's performance...and it was an out of box failure. After nearly an hour on the phone with DeLonghi, their answer? Pay to ship it to their repair center...and wait for the repair. REPAIR. They sold us a boat anchor, and we're supposed to breathe spores and watch the mildew grow while waiting for them to REPAIR their flawed product. No returns, no exchanges. They send out X% of bad units, and foist it off on the customer as their profit model. This would have been our third DeLonghi...but never again. September 25, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Mixed results Bought this unit because it has a built in pump so you can leave it run without emptying the bucket all the time. Well it works, problem is the fan never stops even after it reaches the desired humidity level. And it's not a quiet fan! So we traded emptying the bucket for turning the unit on and off...not what we had in mind at all. June 10, 2014
