Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 35 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Short life I purchased a 70 pint Delonghi about 6 years ago. It did not last very long, just out of warranty. During the third summer season, it continued to run but would not pull moisture. The compressor was running hot but would not cool the coils for dehumidification. The manufacturer told me either the compressor has failed or possible low on freon. Either way, it failed after about 10 actual months of summer time usage. I then bought a Danby from Home Depot, which is now discontinued, it lasted just out warranty as well. August 14, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by not good could not get this to drain through the drain hose. it just kept running without draining anything. My son-in-law tried also and could not get it to work. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good humdifier, esp the pump feature Have been using for about a month and all seems well. The greatest feature is the pump that works very well. We are using it in a newly purchased house where we're not there everyday, so pumping the water is really the only viable method (no floor drain available). Pumps to the washer overflow pipe about 6 ft above the floor with no problems. The only complaint is that the fan runs continuously even when the compressor is off. Since this is an Energy Star model I can assume it's still thrifty on energy use, but this can be a noise problem for some. It's in our basement so no big deal for us. If you're a Massachusetts resident, this model is listed on the MassSave site for a $30 rebate. August 18, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Delonghi Dehumidifier works great but you can't get parts.... Try finding a sensor board at any price and they don't appear to be available. What good is a product that can't be fixed? Too bad as the machine works very well. On to another brand..... November 26, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Pump line clogs, Expensive Pump line keeps clogging up with slime. A real pain to disassemble and clean. Needs a bigger line or pre-pump filter acessable from outside the case November 17, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by worse product ever purchase in my life. The dehumidifier only work two months. try to get it repair , before the year was up. They want to pay for shipping and labor. Will never buy another delonghi ever. Overall rating : very very poor. August 18, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by questionable seems to do a do job at reducing humidity but purchased this unit for the capability to pump out of a basement. pump is not working from the get go and unit needs to be repaired. so i spent extra money for the units capability and now need to ship it off at my own expense to get it repaired July 1, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DeLonghi 70-Pint Does the Job I am an antiquarian book dealer, and run a pair of these to dehumidify a small warehouse (1500 SF) of old books. They replace a larger unit that that cost more than these 2 put together. Once my old workhorse quit, I bought these 2, and in a day they had reduced the humidity in the warehouse by about 20%, and have maintained the level I selected since then. They were easy to unpack and extremely simple to set up. They are direct drained to the exterior of the building, so I do not use and can't comment on the pump, or on emptying the drawer. They have been operating for about a month or so - quiet and efficient, they get the job done. January 15, 2014
