Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Work Great! These screws worked great for the dock I built. I especially like the head configuration due to being a dual bit head. No slippage at all when inserting into treated lumber. April 28, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great screw, but inventory limited We are in the midst of replacing the boards on a 1900 sq' deck. My son & I love the product, great grip, seats well in the board, head doesn't strip etc. But we started putting in Phillips Head and Home Depot has moved all of this type of inventory over to Star or other related versions. I would suggest buying all that you need so you don't get caught changing screw types midstream.....was surprised they would phase out Phillips Head. While the project has gone well, pulling out the old screws to attach new boards has been an education. The old cheap screws made the boards break down faster. Life of the decking you use may only be as good as the type of fastener you use. August 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worth every penny! I have used two packs of these screws (870) and have not had one stripped head. I have to buy two more packs to finish replacing the deck boards. These screws are great and so easy to use. I wish the contractor that built the deck would have used these srews, instead of steel air gun nails December 27, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by No Problem With Messing Up Heads I built a 700+SF two-level deck using treated Southern Pine in 2002. I used these screws. I had no instances of the bit stripping the slot out of the screw. July 23, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solid fasteners Gradually replaced poor nails that the last owner used with these over the last 3 years. I'm sold. Wish the other guy would have used these to begin with. May 24, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Screws Built a Deck and now a Barn with these screws. Excellent, however they are pricey at $29 for a medium sized box. The large box is needed for the big projects. Dont get the small box for $9, you go through them like water. Nice to be able to back these screws out as well when you need to. So save the apex bits when your done. May 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by No problems Dont see how some people are stripping these. Just drove two 25 pound boxes of these into joists using an impact driver and never had one strip, snap, cam out or bend. Oh and I used just one bit. So either I am really talented at driving screws, or some of you have sloppy technique. December 6, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great for me Unlike the previous review I have never had problems with the bit spinning out. Yes, square drive screws are a little more stable, but if you apply enough pressure the supplied bit works great. June 30, 2011
