Highly recommend but I am a complete amateur at using any tools. I used them to build a gate for a deck and they come with their own bit. None of them stripped or broke even going through hard treated wood. They even helped self correct a little when I put them in crooked. I didn't give five stars only because I don't know how they will wear over time.

I'm a complete amateur and these screws were powerful quick and easy to use. I used them for building a gate and working with a deck. They seem to hold well and even self straightened which is helpful for a person not used to drilling.

Very difficult to get under nail heads (using a hammer). I am just going to grind it down a little more. Crow bar end is very useful.

Used these screws to build some planters and a deck. Strong, seems to hold up very well. Requires a starred bit to screw them in, fortunately every box came with one, so that was great but would much prefer a standard philips or flat. good pricing, wish there were more color choices (only beige and green were available)

I always say, I am only as good as my tools. Given the right tools, I can pull off just about any project and I consider these screws to one of the essentials.
In 2007 when I built my first deck, I had trouble with the screws snapping as the boards dried and started to strain against the fasteners. They must have worked out the problem since then because when I took a part a deck built in 2009 using Deckmate screws, I was able to reuse every one of the old screws on the new deck I built.
Even though they had been in the elements for 5 years, not a single screw was rusted. Deckmate rocks.
