Answer:
I bought some one pound boxes and I believe it says that there's about 66 screws per one pound box, so a 5 pound box should contain about 330 screws. + or -

I used them on the pressure treated joists for my kids zip line platform and they seem to hold up well - been about 2 years now with no signs or corrosion ( last month I backed a few screws out to inspect them and they look the same as the day I installed them). However, if you're using them for anything other than a zip line platform I would double check local building code.

If you're using these to fasten a joist to a joist hanger be aware that the nail head is tapered so you won't achieve as tight of a bond as you would with a traditional hot dipped galvanized joist hanger nail. Read Less

I built a 4ft tall by 10 ft long water tank using 16" oc studs with 2 3" #9 Deckmate screws. The force of the water sheered the screws. I rebuilt the tank using 3/8" lag bolts.

Don't know. That would be a tech question for the company. Or, go to an on-line forum and ask. Someone there may know.

I'm using redish tan screws from Deckmate on my redwood deck but I don't see anywhere in the product description where it states the color. I'm 180 miles from a Home Depot and I would like to order more online.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by These Corrode I used these screws and they corroded within six years and came out of my treated lumber deck boards. When I pulled them out they were rusted and the threads were gone. June 21, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Screws rot out right under the head. Spent over $120 for all the deck mate screws I used on my deck project and after only 5 years they started to rot right under the head where there are no threads. They thin out in this area from rust and eventually the head pops out. Stay away from these screws and use stainless steel. May 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product. Perfect for the job. Made a great a/c stand. Weathered the flood great August 23, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Junk Do not use this product. I used these 10 years ago to fasten my decking and about 90% of the screws have corroded and broken. Im replacing my deck boards now, and the screws that remain are necked down to about 1/16 and I can break them off with my fingers. August 11, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Screw Removal after 16 years is an issue I am re-decking and removal of the old cedar deck is always fun, I have several versions of deck screws. The old DeckMate ASR - 3" #9 screws are a pain to remove. About 10% are snapping and they are all very corroded. At the same time I am removing some Grip Rite Deck screws also 3" #9 and they are still intact. So they are preferred over the DeckMate. Prior to the removal I bought 15.lbs of DeckMate deck screws. I will be returning them. I concur with the corrosion comments posted on here regarding DeckMate and corrosion, I am deciding between the FastenMaster and the GripRite products. Any collaborative commentary appreciated. I mean 16 years isn't horrible but they are not a LifeTime product. July 7, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't waste your money I used 15 pounds of these screws for my deck. Noticed rust after 7 years then more breakdown every year. Contacted the company sent pics again and again - nothing . Use stainless steel screws and be done. These are overpriced and they don't stand behind the product promise. July 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tight head, didn't strip or slip. I was happy with these fasteners - they didn't strip or slip, so I got the job done fast. July 5, 2016
