CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by soft wood only, no hardwood ever these deckmate screws are great for pressure treated, soft pine & cedar but don't even attempt to drive these into mahogany ever, even predrilled. they snap in hardwood making life alot harder than it had to be, for mahogany always predrill & I've had great luck with the 1/2 the price regular coated wood screws to plug up afterwards. paying double for a product, it would be nice to be able to use them on hardwoods. i gave this product a 3 star rating due to the fact that they are awesome on regular decking even though i still prefer the trio's over them for regular decking. it lacks 2 stars for being snappers in hardwoods. this review has been given with 100% truth & honesty from a professional owner/operator of a business that does this for a living. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great deck screw Finally a deck screw with a head design (Star/Torx T-25) that doesn't get stripped when you drive it into a thick piece of wood! I have yet to find a 3 inch screw with a Philips head design where about every fifth one doesn't get stripped. If you are lucky, you can back the screw out and replace it with a new one (and throw away the old). I have never had that problem with these. I also like the beefier reinforced head and the non-stain coating for treated wood. March 16, 2016
