Customer Questions & Answers

i try to cover up my garden / veggies from birds...will this product work for this purpose?

i have even seen bird netting destroyed by birds, so i think this product should be more sturdy against birds when its build for "keep deers out"
Asked by: AlexT
Excellent product, I find better than bird netting, It confuses birds who can hardly see it, and cannot perch or run on it as they can on the heavier "bird netting". You bust keep it clear of actual contact with you or plants though. It catches and easily tangles with the littles of stems or twigs, etc.

will this fencing stand up on it's own (meaning, does it need to be stabilized every foot or will it stand for several to five feet?)

i want to use this as a vertical extension to a 3ft fence ... can i just post with the existing posts, or will it need to be posted closer together? will the wind blow it down? at what strength winds will it stand?

Will this fence block out the sun, and heed the growth of my vegetables?

Asked by: nick
I doubt it would block 1/2 of 1% of light. Really.

Can it be spray painted yellow?

Asked by: Ronnie
Possibly, but the strands are maybe 0.007" thick, so most of your paint would fly through the space between strands.

I bought 20 rolls of this to keep the deer out added it to the top of my fence I doubled the fabric when I came out the next morning the fence was completely ripped in 3 different places where the deer jumped through it and ripped it. This was an expensive waste of time.

I used this to add to my poultry fence barrier to keep the bunnies away from my new lilac bushes, as they have just loved chewing on the lower branches this winter. I saw some damage a little higher up the plant too, which may have been some kind of climbing rodent, so I threw this over the top of the plant and then attached it to my poultry fence with twisty-ties to try and keep the critters out for good. Seems to be working so far! Will be using this to fill in some gaps in our fencing to keep those miscellaneous creatures out of my yard this spring. Good quality product, definitely gnaw-proof and not unsightly either. Would recommend!

The netting itself is good but I needed someone to help me attach it to wooden fence post. My puppy can squeeze through the farm fence that is already there. I bought this netting to attach to it to keep her inside, but I had a terrible time trying to staple it to the fence posts by myself. When it warms up, I will get someone to help me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Deer Problem solved This has absolutely solved my problem with deer and rabbits ruining my garden. This year, the garden is 25'x15'. I put 6 posts (8' landscape timbers) about 6" outside the borders, 3 along the long sides and wrapped this fence around it and have 6-7' left over. I used a staple gun to attach the netting/fencing. But, if you pull it somewhat tight, you don't need to use much to attach. I figure that I'll be able to use this multiple times. It's a very light material; much like a cast net. Two people are needed to work with it because it's so light that you can't lay it out flat. But, installation is a breeze. Hang marker tape on it's sides to remind you that it's there and to spook critters. My wife also hung a couple of pie tins to make a bit of noise.

Didn't even bother getting it out of the wrapper - this stuff is so thin - even a mouse or rat could chew its way thru it - let alone a deer! This stuff shouldn't be called "fencing" at all. Returning to HD.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very durable!! You can stretch the material and it holds up very well. I ran some durable twine along theedge of the material to improve the stability of the netting and it works great!!! Will definitely buy again.

I got it for birds and haven't tested it for deer yet. It's fairly green around here and the deer have plenty to eat. It should work ok.
