It takes a little time to set up properly. I have little knowledge of this kind of system and set it up without much trouble. It works terrific and clear. The night vision is also clear and works perfectly. It is color during the day and black and white at night. It uses quite a bit of band width, so I added a WiFi extender and solved the issue for the rest of my house. The service is fantastic. When you make this call and ask for help, they call you back, my service person, Michel could not help me enough. He solved my issue easily and then called a few days later to be sure all was still good. You can rely on him to take care of you.

For us not so tech savy people it was an ease to install & set up. Needed to call customer service to change a few settings, they were freindly, quick and very helpful!

Installed system last month, and went great but had trouble connecting to phone. spoke to Michel, and had it figured out in 10 minutes. He was very professional, and knew exactly what was needed.

I bought this system last December and just got around to installing it last week. The biggest reason for this was that the Manual that now exists on the Defender web site did not exist and the installation, as a result, was very much trial and error. Now that the Manual exists, many of my problems have been resolved. The system was surprisingly easy to install and works very nicely. One of the more fun problems that I had to resolve was to get the motion detectors to ignore my ceiling fans. But looking back on it, that experience was pretty comical. The camera installation, on the whole, was very easy. The picture quality is excellent, the resolution and color are really very good. I am very pleased with the system that would recommend it to anyone.

It's much easier to mount the cameras being wireless. You still have to plug into 110V but there are no wires running through walls. Picture and frame rate seem to really suffer with wireless. I had wired cameras before and their picture was much better. I never was able to get these to view remotely. Remote viewing with the clearvu app did work better. I took several tries to get this right due to the very poor instructions provided. Instructions are a .pdf file and should be easy to update and be written for each model camera they sell. They could be a lot better. All in all the cameras do what I want but quality is marginal.

I bought it about 3 weeks ago and I'm sure when I get time to go through the process of setting it up it will take awhile to figure it out. I've not had any time to set it up due to long hours at work. I've had only time to set up 2 cameras. I'm not a computer person I get very overwhelmed so I'll let you know how it works out sometime this year once I have a few hours to set it up.
