15 Amp 7-Day 8-Outlet Digital Timer with Power Strip is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 46.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not hard to program.... I noticed a lot of reviews complaining the power strip timer was difficult to program, really? It wasn't difficult at all and it has the ability to have 6 timer programs, for instance 1 can have a on and off time for 5 weekdays and then the second can be for Saturday and Sunday. Also this is not an out door unit, so if it gets really damp or wet guess what...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works I bought two of these originally. One display screen did not light up all the way so I returned it. I kept one to program my Christmas lights. Works well. 4 outlets are run off the timer and 4 are not. Just set the clock time and set the time for on and off and your done.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Half dead Easy setup just like any other 7 day, but timer side is out any way you set the clock or mode. Go figure, 50/50 shot, 50/50 outcome.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Reasonable timer/outlet strip combo for the money Pros: There are 4 outlets that are switch controlled There are 4 outlets that operate from the timer Multiple schedules are able to be set by the timer. Options for each schedule to be 7 days, individual days or the weekend plugs turned sideways to better accommodate power adapters Cons: The timer has reset itself 3 times in 3 weeks (every time I touch or move it) The power cord is a bit short Initial programming is a bit goofy. After you program your on/off times and move the mode to Auto it will not turn the 4 outlets on until the ON time rolls around again (so I ended up programming a 2nd on time 5 minutes after the current time to light things up)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the best quality, but good functionality I bought two of these to control some halogen worklights. This was the only type of timer I'd found that had 4 timed outlets (left side of strip), and 4 standard outlets (right side of strip). The standard outlets are ON anytime the power switch is ON. The timed outlets are controlled by the program. Why this timer's programming functions are great: This timer can be programmed with up to 7 different ON/OFF events. For each programmed event you can set it to take effect Mon-Fri, or Sat/Sun, or Everyday of the week, or just one single day of the week - it's very flexible. I needed this to come on for a part of the day every Sat, Sun, and Wed so it was possibly the only timer I could find that could be programmed this way. Also - there's a small battery inside so after you don't have to reprogram the unit every time you unplug it. Each of the outlets has a cover which can be rotated to protect against something being plugged into that outlet. Programming was easy (the logic made sense) I noticed that when you press the buttons there's a slight pause before the timer responds, but you get a feel for that. First you enter the current day of the week and time (make sure AM/PM is correct). Then you do the timing program. The number in the lower left is the event #, only details to set are what day(s) of the week the event happens on, and what time it comes ON. When you press program you now are setting the time when it will turn OFF for that same event (I don't know why you can set the ON/OFF times for the same event at different days of the week - just set them both for the same day). When you're done programming, use the program button to go back and check your program. When you're done, hit clock button to get back out to the clock display. Now all you have to do is press mode a few times to set it to AUTO and leave the power switch ON. AUTO means the timer's program will turn the left side outlets ON/OFF as you programmed it. If you set the mode to OFF, the left side outlets will always be off. If you set mode to ON, the left side outlets will always be ON. If you set mode to RANDOM it will follow your program to control the outlets, but will randomly add +/- 30 min to your times. This is for controlling lights while your away from home - so it's not so obvious that your lights are on a timer. IMPORTANT! This screwed me up at first and I returned one of these to later realize that it worked fine. When you enter your program and then set mode to AUTO, you would assume that if the current time and day is within a part of your program where the outlets should be ON, that they would indeed be ON. NOPE - this timer's software doesn't check to see if it should turn the outlets ON/OFF until it hits one of the ON/OFF times in your program. This means the timer won't go ON/OFF until it hits the first time where you told it to do so. If the actual time puts it in the middle of the period where the outlets should be ON/OFF, it won't actually cycle until the time reaches the next transition point. When I first pulled the strip off the battery and plugged in the timer, one of these acted flaky (screen would go blank if it was switched off, the time would reset to all 8's while I was holding it). I thought that the battery was loose, but after a few minutes it stopped doing this and has been fine for several days. That might've been caused by the battery - when the timer's plugged in and ON, the battery is charged. When the timer's switched OFF, the display is powered off the battery. I'd suggest letting the thing sit plugged in and ON for a few minutes when you first pull the strip off the battery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great!!!!! Bought several of these "Programmable Power Strips", they all work great. We use them at work on our coffee pots, and department computers. We have the computers come on 10 minutes before the employees get to work and shut off a little after work quiting time. We have reduced our electric bill by 15%. This is a great "Lean" tool, if you understand Lean concepts. Yea, try reading the manual, it's detailed and clear.
