Hmmm-without seeing the front of yours I cannot answer. On my device, the reset is a small hole between the display and the On/Off button. It looks like a paper clip would be needed to insert and press the re-set.

Answer:
Yes! It IS there. Just peel away the decal surrounding the square face of the display.
And then simply take a toothpick, insert it in the hole for a second or two, and it will reset the unit to factory fresh 12:00 on the display.

It's not a button. It's a small hole in the front panel. Use a paper clip, needle, or toothpick to push the contact behind the hole.

Have you checked to ensure that the paper label that sits inside of the programming buttons and states "2 Outlets / 2 Tomacorrientes" has been removed from the front of the timer. The label has an opening for the LCD Display but not for the reset button...if that label is not removed, it will look as though there is no reset button.

You may have overlooked the reset button because it does not look like a button; it looks like a tiny hole in the timer case just below the LCD display. To reset, push the end of a wire paperclip or toothpick into the hole and hold it until the display goes blank for a moment, then displays 12:00 AM. Note: On my copy of the printed instruction sheet, the Reset Button is marked "5," not "E." Possibly the instructions you are using are not intended for this timer. If your timer has no reset button, you could try leaving it unplugged for 24 hours or longer until the internal battery fully discharges and the LCD display goes blank. Then plug in the timer for at least 2 hours and reprogram. Read Less

I did not try to find or use the video. If you use the enclosed instructions, they will walk through setting the time, date, and latitude zone. Then you you set the ON/OFF programs. The more you do it, the easier it is. Go slow and don't become frustrated!

Rated 2.6 out of 5 by 160 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I watched the 8 minute video on www.homedepot.com and I had my Timer programmed and working in about 10 minutes. When you get to the web site, go to the "search" bar, type in the model # or item # or the name of the item. When the item pops up, click on it. 3 icons appear; 2 are pics and one is the ~8 minute video. I held the timer in my hand and followed the steps and stopped the video when necessary to get caught up. At approximately 4 minutes into the video, the manufacturer explains the programming part. It's really easy; just follow the steps. The Timer works and does exactly what I want it to do; it turns my gate rope-lights on at sunset and turns them off at sunrise, 7 days a week. I owned a different timer from the same manufacturer but rain water got into the wiring/extension cord. That's not the manufacture's fault, that was my fault for not wrapping it and keeping it dry. That product worked for about 4-5 years, without incident. October 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I don't understand everyone's problem with the timer feature! The manual gives you step by step instructions. Yes the digits are small. It's a great and flexible. You have more programming options than you'll probably ever need, but that just makes programming easier. You can override the programming by pressing the ON/OFF button, but the programming isn't erased. The old ones clicked and made so much noise. This is silent and perfect. I have a lamp plugged into it that turns on before my alarm goes off. October 24, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst torture device! Horrible instructions for setting manual times for devices! The HomeDepot.com website does not offer a video on instructions to set up timer! Go to You Tube and find your product with model number. I bought a Defiant Daylight Adjusting Heavy Duty Timer Model # 49808....of course there wasn't a video for that model and brand. I did find a GE brand that had the same display and buttons. I will test it out on an outlet and see if it works. I want to have my wifi internet turn off at night while I sleep and turn back on in the morning when I need it. Good luck if you purchase this product. October 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very flexible, brief instructions This unit provides daylight savings auto adjust, a sunrise sunset program, and 7 independent on off programs. To do this, you need to set the clock time, the year, month, and day and if DST is used. You also need to set one of 4 Latitude zonesfor the sunrise sunset feature. Each of these requires use of the set and up down buttons. The instructions cover this, but are somewhat brief. If you don't need all of these features then consider a simpler timer. I especially like the day select feature for each of the seven programs: You can select to set an on off cycle daily, on a specific day, on weekdays, on weekends, or on alternating days. The instructions don't explain this well. I set my timer to be on all the time except to turn off for one minute each week. The program is for Monday only, on at 6:01, off at 6:00. The final trick is to toggle to the auto setting just after the on setting. If you plug in a lamp, you can see that the on off button cycles on, auto, off, auto, on and so on. My program is useful for power cycling an Internet modem and router to get it to reset after a service failure. Not so hard to program once you understand it. October 18, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I have programed other similar timers, so I am sure I know how to program this one. I did watch the video just to be sure. The problem I had with this unit was, that it would never turn off the light that was plugged in to it. The ON/OFF button under the reset button had no effect, the lamp was always on. Good concept, bad product. It will be returned. October 25, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Way too difficult to program This is way too complicated to program. I purchased 2 of them and could not program them even looking at the video. My son who is into electronics and is 40 years old had difficulty with the first one and the second one he could not program. October 3, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Fails after a time. A nuisance to program, difficult to read display, and like another reviewer stated, it simply quit working one day. September 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by One of the best digital timers I like the look and feel of this timer, though it's a little bulky but built quality is solid and good deal for two outlets. Agreed it's confusing to set up timer and programming at first. Watching you tube postings below from part 1 to 6 helps to get familiar with most of its functions. What really helps me understanding it all after watching 6 short video clip is reading manual included with unit or posted on same product page, product overview, instructions/assembly link in pdf. Hope this will setup this timer little easier and less frustrated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mg2tLR7uAj0 June 12, 2016
