Can the motion sensor be affected by snow covered ground? Mine keeps flickering , have adjusted sensor and timer, changed the position of the lamps but problem still exists. So can I override the detector and use as ordinary light using indoor on and off switch? Then revert back to sensor in spring when snow is gone.
Asked by: Terry
I found the LED driver in this particular light to be weak. Mine lasted about a year. It may be flickering due to an issue with the driver. It may detect falling snow and activate, but once activated should stay on for the duration of the time period set. There is an electronic issue with your light. If the problem is in the timer or not in the LED driver, you may be able to use it with the switch. Not sure if that feature is interconnected with the timing feature or not.

How do we get the light to just turn on with the switch and then turn it off later with the switch?

Therefor bypassing the motion sensor functions.
Asked by: MMEP7840
to turn light on : If the switch is off, turn it on and within 3 seconds turn it off and back on, it should stay on. to shut it off, just turn the switch off. If the switch is already on switch it off and within 3 seconds turn it back on.

I have had to rewire them because the hardware provided allowed the electrical wires to rust. I live in the desert. Arizona doesn't get very much rain but somehow the wires have rust. So... I called the company because the sensor is the issue apparently but they do not have any replacement parts for these lights. They offered me a $20 gift card but the light cost me $85. Thanks for nothing Home Depot. So if I want to replace it, then I will have to have 2 different lights OR buy the exact same piece of garbage. Horrible!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Mixed review I bought two sets of lights about 14 months ago. One set works like a champ. The other did random acts of lighting then finally quit all together. I got curious and opened the motion sensor. It had apparently had significant water inside that had corroded the circuit boards up to a depth of about 1/2 inch. The rest of the fixture had no signs of water. Light was mounted on a pole with the back sealed with water proof caulking. The LEDs still work but will need a hard wire circuit or a new motion switch.

I actually swapped the first one I bought under warranty. The second one lasted maybe a year and the Led driver is bad in it. Looking for a replacement driver now. Thought it was the motion detector, replaced it and the leds glow very dim. I like the design and the lights are bright enough. If I can find the driver I will use the light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MST18920LDF The only complaint I have is with the + - switch. No where in the manual does it show what the on time is set at. It goes from TEST and - around to +. My guess is that the minus is 1 minute and the plus is 12 minutes. I shouldn't have to guess. It should show the 3, 6 and 9 minute marks. This is one area that needs improvement, both on the unit and in the manual.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste Of Money Lasted 5 months then all it would do would turn on and off every few seconds no matter if it was night or day. Adjusting the timing did nothing. Piece of junk.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stay away Worked good initially. Now it turns on whenever it feels like. Sometimes it never shuts off so I have to turn it off at the breaker.
