Customer Questions & Answers

Is wiring required.

Asked by: Alexis
just run the light wire from the solar panel to the light. Problem is one has to drill holes for the panel and the light.... then one has to remove the piece of junk and you have holes where the brackets wer.

180 Degree Outdoor Solar White LED Motion Security Light is rated 2.4 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality / bad motion sensor Cheap product, bad design. Bought two. Testing the light/motion sensor, it only lit up when I walked toward it from the left, no reaction when coming from the right (180 degree range? more like 90 degrees). After 10 minutes of testing, it started blinking every 5 seconds but light wouldn't go out, even when I put it in the garage with no movement around it. The second unit is just as bad (very sketchy reactions to movement). Turned them both off, packed them up for return to the store. Find a different brand, this one is NO GOOD!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not worth it Wife bought 2 of these - 1 front & 1 back. I was skeptical but wanted to try LED. Both worked fine for a few days after initial charge - Back one quit working after a week - I switched it to Front for 2 days just to be sure & it still didn't work. After a couple weeks the Front one started blinking - it would turn on whenever motion was detected, but then turn off in 2-3 seconds, then come on again with motion. It had enough juice because it could do this several times in an evening. Tried different settings to no avail even with new AA batteries. Sometimes it would stay on for the 5 minutes, but mostly not. After 3 weeks I gave up & returned both. Light output about like a 60w incandescent - satisfactory for what we needed. Based on other reviews, I'm going to spend more & go with Lithonia or different brand that is hardwired LED.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't work I had high hopes for this item but as everyone else who seemed to buy this light I was let down. Installation was very easy and the light looked nice enough but when we tested the motion sensor on a full charge the light would only flicker like a strobe light only when you put your hand over the entire sensor then the light would stay on, that is no help to us at all. I've already returned for a refund.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Easy to install This product failed over all. Very easy to install however works like a drunken sailor. Sporadic in use and will often flash like a strobe. Wish I could say it worked well but dont like to lie.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it! I read the reviews after I bought the product and had serious misgivings. I kept the box handy just in case we had to return the product. After installing per the instruction sheet, we kept the light switch OFF for five full days for the batteries to receive a complete charge. Also, per instructions, the solar panel is on the roof of the house, free from obstructions, and getting the full force of the sun. The light itself is positioned just under the eave of the roof. The light works exactly as it was intended to do and I love it to bits! (Maybe the secret is letting the batteries get a full charge before turning the product on - 4 to 5 days will do it.)
