I bought this light for my driveway and it works great in giving just enough light. it's not to bright to blind and not to dull not to shine. it works very good in rainy places. just like any other non electrically connected light source changing the rechargeable batteries every now and then is required for the light to work at it's optimal condition. overall this light source is good for the money.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MarilynB Pleased with this LED solar floodlight
This solar floodlight has a nice appearance, and I like the 5.5" x 7.5" glass solar panel that swivels up and down to adjust the angle toward the sun. The 2 lights can be adjusted up & down or sideways. The motion detector part rolls around in a socket so you have some adjustment there as well. On the motion detector bottom there is a switch with settings for Off/Test/1min/3min. It has a good long 16' cord so the panel can be placed in a good sunny location while the light is set up where you want it (mounting screws are included). For best results, it needs at least 3-4 hours of direct sunlight every day. Before first use, it must be charged for 4 sunny days with the switch in the Off position.
The only thing I don't care for is that I have to remember to change the angle of the solar panel each summer and winter, but the instructions are clear on how many degrees I should use. It took some time to position the motion sensor to where I wanted it, but once done, it works great. It adds that extra bit of light when needed for my security camera to capture better pictures.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BobbyG People need to adjust their expectations
To everyone complaining that the light only lasts 4 hours a night, listen up... This unit was NEVER intended to be on all night on a 1-day charge. That's not the purpose of this light. If you need light all night, run AC to a CF light fixture and there you go. This is a motion sensor security light. As in, something or someone walks by, the light turns on. Not some floodlight to light up the whole trailer park the whole night. I have two of these, easily installed, motion sensor works, timer works, and lights up my whole driveway when anything gets within range. THAT is the purpose of this light.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mixmox Very bright, with good flexibility
This is perfect for places around the house or yard where there is no easy power source and also gets good sun.
I mounted this on the edge of our deck with the solar panel facing south.
Mounting was easy though I found that drywall screws are easier to drive into wood than the supplied screws.
Connection is very simple, just plug one part into the other. The plug also is very secure and is not likely to just come apart. The solar panel can also be placed a pretty good distance from the light itself.
The light component allows the 'spotlights' to be adjusted. the Motion sensor can also be adjusted up and down.
I set mine up over some steps that were previously in a dark area. They are now lit up very well as soon as anyone walks into that area.

This is a great product for places where you need light and don't want to go through the trouble of electric installation. I used it for my front door and it works perfect for having enough light when I come home at night and need to open the door. I had to change the direction a few times until it worked perfectly and not being trigged by tall bush near my door. I charged it for a week since we haven't had a lot of sunny days in my area. The light is really bright and the unit is light enough to move around if you need to replace its location. The cable to the solar power charger is long enough to set near by without having cables visible in the way. I'm happy with this light, it's just what I needed. I no longer have to leave the front light on at night, with this is enough.

First thing that needs to be done is to charge the unit for four days, since its winter and the sun is at a lower angle I let it charge for a full 6 days.
This is a great looking light, the main unit is clean looking and the lights are easy to point as is the motion sensor. The lamps, combined, produce about the same light as a 60 watt incandescent lamp. The light will produce enough light so you can easily see an area of about 60 feet.
I tested the light in all four settings and found that the light only worked in two of them; that being OFF and TEST. In the one minute setting, the light came on and turned off at about 1 minute, then after 5 to 30 seconds it came back on and stayed on. In the three min setting, the light came on and stayed on. I tried covering the motion sensor with black electrical tape as recommended, this didn't make a difference.
This would be a great light if it worked but mine seems to be defective.

Surprisingly bright, that's good. Specs say adjustable sensitivity, no adjustable sensitivity on my unit. The sensor is quirky, says 70 feet reach but that's not true. Maybe 25 to 30. The sensor does not have 180 degree detection. Aiming is awful. Sometimes it picks up motion, sometimes it doesn't. The best distance i can get out into my driveway with the thing mounted maybe 10 feet up on the house is 10 to 15 feet.
And definitely not 180 degrees.
Worth maybe 60 bucks in my book.
Not sure what an AC charger would cost but the four day solar charge at startup is annoying

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mike As good as they get at this price range
One must understand the intent of solar lighting around the house, at this price range. The light must shed enough light to see your dog roaming around your back yard at midnight; scare away rabbits from your garden in the evening hours; light up enough for you to walk around the lighted area without harming yourself; turn itself on to warn you that something is out there. If it does this stuff, it's a good solar light for residential use. I've used this type of light for over seven years around my house without any regrets. This light is slightly better than most I've had. It shines a clear, bright light in an adjustable lighting area around your house, without electrical wiring. Easy to mount and adjust. Highly recommended light.
