Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Myself Good Light Fair Price
This is a basic motion security light. It installed easily into my existing junction box. It is made largely of plastic and is therefore lighter than the similar one I was replacing. It has all of the features I need. The manual is marked with the model number DF-5412-WH-E and states that it can handle two 150 watt incandescent bulbs. The box is marked with model number DFI-5412-WH and states it can handle two 120 watt incandescent bulbs. I do not know which one is correct so one may want to take this into consideration when purchasing bulbs for the unit. The UPC code on my box is 016963754126.

For the price its a good motion detector light. I installed this on my soffit over garage door..had to use a new out door work box since nothing was there to connect too.....light fit perfect to it and I just had to hot wire it to my garage wall switch. Have it set for only one minute no need for me at 5 or 10 minute delay on/off..all you need to do for another minute is move. First step off my front porch light goes on and lights up walkway and driveway same as getting out of my cars..can go more in length but why light up the street too..LOL.
I use two outdoor flood light bulbs (par38) and they both cost more then the complete light system ($24)..be that way with any outdoor light system really....bulbs no cheap!
Buying another this week for backyard... my dogs need to see better in winter darkness..be easy though to hookup..have a light fixture already outside near rear door.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by John2013 My second light review
I installed one of these motion detector lights back in December ( have a review here on it also) at front of house and liked it so much I installed another at rear door., Both working great and since way cheaper then others to me its a great buy ( if they last-only time will tell). My light at rear door was easy to install since I had a regular outdoor light fixture there, if you install the light system to a metal electrical box no need to use the ground wire( bare copper wire) that wire coming from the circuit breaker is already grounded to the electrical metal work box and all you need to do is connect two wires (white and black). The metal box is grounded and when you connect the cross bracket with two screws that bracket is grounded then, and when you connect the metal base of the motion detector light with the screw at center then the whole light system is grounded.
Never had a problem yet with the one I installed a month ago over garage door..working great and we love it. We have deer's galore here and they do make it go on..great security light besides just being able to see.

First of all these lights shine great. But the sensor is horrible. If you are the type of person that enjoys running back and forth to Home Depot to get the one that works properly. Then this light is for you. Only one out of the five I got has worked properly. I have changed them twice and still only one of them work properly. The sensors will detect cars driving by, but not myself outside of a 5 ft radius. These lights have cost me an additional $40 considering the amount of gasoline I have wasted in exchanging them. I have read from other reviewers the other more expensive lights are not any better. The quality looks well made but that's where it ends! These are worthless as a security light!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sandy Complete 180 degree coverage
I purchased these lights and they were so easy to install. I had pre-installed the boxes to attach these lights to. I shut the breakers off and then installed the lights. After putting them all in I turned the breaker back on and switched the lights to test to insure I had the right areas getting the light and the proper distance on which they would activate. After this little bit of fine tuning I turned the lights to the desired time to stay lit. and the rest is history. It took about 15 minutes per light to hook them up to the existing boxes. It took about 5 - 6 minutes to get them adjusted. Thats all it took. They activate when someone or something breaks the beams crossing in front of the light sensors or getting to close head on. I love that they are 180 degree sensors. The parents that bring their children to the Daycare/School, especially the single moms love that the minute that they hit the driveway the 1st set kicks on. The 2d set kicks on when they open the car door to get the child out and the 3d set kicks on when they hit the walk to come to the door. They are times just perfectly so they stay on the whole time a parent is arriving or leaving the daycare.
The best money for lights I ever spent to provide security. Parents love it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Novak Excellent Outside Light
Very simple to install if you have the wiring already in place. Purchased this to replace an outside light with an on off switch. Now this light comes on automatically when motion is sensed. It has an excellent range from side to side and also distance. Cars passing by were triggering it in the street but you can adjust the distance that triggers it on. Now my whole back yard will light up when motion is sensed so don't have to worry about anyone creeping around anymore. Definitely recommend

First one failed within a year. Returned under warranty. Second one lasted two years and failed again. I would NOT recommend this product. I feel products like this should last ten years or more. I will not be buying this brand anymore.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ralpha good product, however the electric eye does not last long in Florida facing South
The unit works very well, easy to install and priced well. The only problem that I have noticed having 8 of these units around my home, the only problem that I have noticed is the unit sensor that faces South only last about one year in Florida. Not sure why this happens, all the other units lasts many, many years. The units never rust, which is a big plus.
