The on-line measurements were not enough. More precise drawings and measurements were needed. Unable to use product.

Poor quality material, could only find this at Home Depot. Key broke turning just the start.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sam Arrived damaged
I had to order this lock online since it wasn't available at a nearby store. Both of the face plates had a melted black plastic on them. Of course scraping it off would damage the finish so I just bought silver spray paint since I couldn't simply exchange it at the store and I didn't have the time or want to be bothered with returning and waiting for a new lock to be shipped to me. This was definitely an inconvenience to me in addition to the added cost of the spray paint that I have no other use for

This was the best replacement for original hardware. Fit the door perfectly. I didn't need the latch and key but the knobs fit the old hardware exactly.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by YoungRenovator Beautiful, durable knob set
My home was built in 1920 and has nearly all original hardware throughout the house. The original door knob broke on one of our doors and I wanted to replace it with something consistent with the age of the house. This set was easy to install and was very affordable. I will be purchasing 5 more of these to replace all of the worn door knobs.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mrfixit These are a great way to update those old doors
They are very close to an exact swap but be prepared to do a little tweaking on the door casing side as the mortise varies a bit and you will find that you'll need to reverse the angle of the closing latch for left or right applications, its easily done by removing 1 screw on the case and simply flipping it over. mine were all shipped set up for right hand doors. when complete they work with a deadbolt type skeleton key just as they did 50 years ago. Don't give up on those great old Doors just update the Hardware

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Renee This is the second one I have used
I have a home built in 1889 and I needed to replace a ton of door knobs that would work for the doors since they are vintage and hollowed out in that area to accommodate the old style knob and lock. The first one I purchased lasted about 8 months when the latch came apart inside of it. I figured it could have just been a faulty one. So I went and purchased another one, and tonight I come home to find that this one has broken off inside it as well and I have just spent $50 to have two door knobs not last even a year. this one only lasted me about 4 months. This is not a home where doors get slammed shut, its a beautiful older home that we are restoring and these locks should not have had an issue with normal everyday use. Note to self, never buy anything without a warranty.
