Answer:
Couple things to check:
1. Check the settings on the light sensor to see if it is set to constant on.
2. Check to ensure nothing is blocking the light receptor that detects sunlight.
or
3. The sensor is toast.

Rated 2.5 out of 5 by 39 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this light I purchased this to replace the same one that I purchased 18 years ago. Got my monies worth!!! May 17, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worthless Junk Worked fine for a month, then like other reviews I've read here the sensor failed and wouldn't dim the lights at dusk and would stay constantly bright. I reset all the light parameters and still no good. I tried in manual mode and nothing doing. Quality on the sensor is obviously very poor. Additionally, it's almost impossible to read the switch operations on the back. Took it back and went and purchased a LED. Not as bright but works perfectly. April 28, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Faulty I purchased this same light about 9 years ago and that light has worked perfectly until last month. The sensor would not detect motion so it would not turn on at night. I decided to replace it with the same light fixture since the first one worked really well. The new one I put up, now comes on at night but will not turn off at all, unless I turn it off at the switch. I have the dusk to dawn feature set to off and the time it should stay on in 1 minute when motion is detected. I read other reviews and this seems to be a problem with these new lights. I will be returning it and buying another brand. March 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It did what I wanted, easy to install, not all features worked as advertised. The quality control for the manufacture of this product needs more attention. Also the instructions were not well written and confusing to follow, especially for setting up the switches. Possibly the problem is that it was written by someone with English as a second language. Installation went smoothly. This light has a medium intensity setting with 4 setting, 1 is off, 2 are for partial night times and 1 is for all night. No matter how you set this, it is either off or all night. I did not need this feature so I left it in the off setting and did not complain. I do not recommend this product because of the poorly written operating instructions and the non working feature mentioned above. February 16, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worthless junk I have exchanged this light twice and the third one has a bulb out after 1 week. It constantly burns out bulbs and the two previous ones stopped working at all, even with new bulbs. Installed by professional licensed electrician. Don't waste your money. March 9, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Try again This is my 3rd attempt in the last week to replace a similar fixture that had been in place for 8+ yrs; unfortunately, this one is no better than the other two. The light looks good, installation is straight forward, and the light is bright enough, but the motion sensor blows. The light comes on (and stays on) if a bug flies too close, or if its raining or windy, but requires jumping jacks from 10' away to detect motion from a carbon-based life form. The troubleshooting guide says something to the effect of the motion sensor picking up on a heat source from a brightly painted surface (gutters/trim work), so instead of repainting my house a darker color, I have opted to return yet another fixture, and spend more $$$. I'm beginning to wonder if this isn't what is intended by the vendor. Considering the overwhelming number of poor reviews that this and similar products gets, its a wonder why Home Depot continues to sell this expletive. February 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by What's lower than garbage? JUNK PRODUCT! I just installed this light today, The install was a pain in the back side. Trying to connect wires and get them into the box was like a juggling act while standing on a ladder. After the juggling act, I tested everything and it was getting power to the sensor and everything else. All the wires are connected properly, and the (wait for it) light does NOT WORK! I've done everything the manual says and it does not work. If you like or have ever aspired to be a high wire juggling act in the circus, The installation process will give you plenty of practice.......Being on a ladder in the dark with a flashlight and the manual trying to get this light to work, this is a pile of scat product and you should spend the extra 30 bucks and get the LED motion sensor light..... Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by WILL NOT WORK PROPER Installed this light about 12 foot up in the bitter cold. After adjusting the settings about five times over a couple days and nights and getting the same results every time I just cut the switch off. I don’t like giving a bad rating but this one made my head spin when the weather gets better this light will go in the trash I will try to find one made in America wish me luck. February 10, 2016
