4AA Battery Spotlight is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small but mighty! This Defiant spotlight is great. The specs say 10-in x 15-in but it’s smaller- more like 4-in x 7-in. That’s actually a plus! The slightly smaller size makes it unobtrusive sitting on a table or shelf and is lightweight and handy to carry. Initially I was skeptical of having just 1 LED instead of multiple like most LED flashlights, but the beam really reaches and is well-focused. I can easily spot wildlife at 500-ft in my backyard woods. The rubber-coated grip is comfortable; the unit has molded feet on top that allows it to be stable sitting upside down; and there's a loop for a lanyard. After 2-hours use the bulb has not dimmed - so the 4-AA batteries might make it to 4 hours per the specs. I like that it doesn’t have to sit on a charger which leaves a plug free. One odd feature is the trigger switch- its pattern is HI-OFF-LOW-OFF instead of HI-LOW-OFF like you might expect - not a problem, just different. I am considering buying another one of these for my garage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light the Way Many LED lights fail to provide adequate output of light; NOT this spotlight. The beam is intense and spreads out wide. Batteries are ease to install. Light weight and easy to hold. Great for a variety of jobs, recreation, or hobbies. HIGHLY recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really good light! For only 4 AA batteries, this really puts out good light. It's a nice size too - not too big, not too small. If you turn it upside down, you can place it on a flat surface while you do some work. I wish though it wouldn't angle the light upward when you set it like that. Having it straight on would have been better and then having some sort of built-in wire easel to give it an angle up would have been better. There is a low and high light version but the switch seems to be very sensitive when going in between the two. Most of the time I miss the low setting - I just go from high straight to off. But overall a very good light - the beam even reaches all the way to my back property line when I let my dogs out at night!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from bright spotlight this spotlight - flashlight is very bright. it has a nice handle and is able to stand alone when placed upside down. this feature is quite handy for working on a counter or on the floor. we like to have a flashlight ready for power outages, and this one is especially nice since it has such a bright light. this flashlight is lightweight and looks great. i would not say that the flashlight case is sturdy, but seems acceptable for average use. i would not want to drop this tool on concrete, but we plan to use this light indoors.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the quality of light but the switch is bad Cast a much further light than expected. Quality illumination that extends a good 200' distance. It's bright, easy to hold and use. Light is very direct spot not a flood of any kind so radias of light is limited. The only real problem is the switch. It doesn't always work and sometimes the light just goes out without touching it. Maybe just something wrong with this particular unit. Love the light, hate that the swtich keeps failing. For this reason I cannot recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Powerful light, good price Light features a strong LED (I estimate 1W) and runs off low-cost AA batteries. The switching pattern is a bit strange, Hi-Off-Lo-Off, so you don't know how bright it will be the first time you turn it on. Cheaply made but good emergency light. Load batteries by unscrewing the lens frame (see instructions).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good little light! As a transportation manager I had a driver that does a drop and hook in a pretty dark lot. She was complaining about how a regular flash light just wasn't enough. I went to Home Depot to find a solution and this little light caught my eye. As a matter of fact the driver gave it such rave reveiws I bought one for myself. I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly bright and effective. The product itself appears a bit cheap, being light weight and plastic. It was a pleasant surprise when it produced a very bright spotlight. It is so bright, it gives me vision spots when cut off. I am glad I bought two. My friend would have been jealous, had I not gotten her one also.
