Can this be keyed to match existing Defiant locks on my home?

I recently purchased and installed a set of Defiant Brandywine keyed knobs / deadbolts on two doors on my home. These two doors use the same key in all four locks.

I'd like to have the same key to get into the garage. Can I order another keyed knob / deadbolt set that uses the same key as my existing Defiant locks?

Answer:
If you take all of your locks to home depot, they can make all of them match to a single key.

Answer:
Yes, your lock-sets are 're-keyable'. Most stores do provide that service, though there may be a nominal fee. Simply confirm with them that they do re-key there at the store, then purchase whichever Defiant lock you wish and ask them to rekey you new set over to match your existing key. Answer:
This will work on a security door as long as it fits in the following dimensions:
Knob bore hole diameter: 2 1/8"
Latch bore hole diameter: 1"
Backset measurement (from edge of door to center of bore hole): 2 3/8" - 2 3/4"
Door thickness: 1 1/4" - 1 3/4"

Answer:
You could ........but I wouldn't. This is a lightweight home grade door knob. A hacksaw and about 5 minutes would take the knob off and you could reach inside and turn the lock. I assume that you would want substantial security for a 'security door' and a really tough knob. A knob that would qualify as ' fit for a security door' will not be cheap.

Can we get a locking knob for the front door that is located about 5 inches from the door edge?

Our door has the hole for the lock about 5 inches from the door edge, normally 2.5 The old one has the rod/plunger longer, two-part, with an extension. We do not want to have to drill another hole, closer to the edge.

Zdene,
I ran into a similar situation on a 50's house a few months ago. I gave up on the 5" and used a plug that I found at Home Depot and re drilled the hole to accept the 2.5" lockset. The plug was designed to be secure, but wasn't as pleasing to the eye.

The name of the measurement you are talking about is 'backset'. That is the distance from the edge of the door to the knob hole.
I searched Home Depot online and could not find anything with a 5 inch backset. You might want to call them.
What you are looking for is available. Kwikset makes one it is 'Kwikset 3014-01 3 CP Security 5-Inch Entry Door Latch'. It can be found online if Home Depot does not

Answer:
Not necessarily. Most of these knobs are adjustable to some degree, but no one door knob assembly is going to fit all doors. Measure you door (thickness, size of knob hole, and backset [from the edge of the door to the center of the existing knob hole]. The knob specs will tell you what you need to know. That way you will know if it fits or not.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad bad design Got home to install it and the screw wouldn't fit behind the handle to slide in to be screwed to the other side. So have to return it in the morning and fix it before I leave for work. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good basic door handle assembly easy to install, feels not dirt cheep but not as heavy duty as some others. works very good. no issues so far. you cant beat the price for under $10 July 22, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good lock for the money Installed very easily, works well. If you've ever changed a door knob you should have no issues installing it. All you need is a screw driver and you're done in 5 minutes. We used this on a spare bedroom closet to use as a "safe" while work was being done on the house. July 12, 2016
