Clarification: Which side should the screws go on? Inside room or outside the room

I have purchased over 20 of these to begin the fun job of changing my knobs to the satin. Really like the mushroom style; however, on my old interior doors there was an open circle in the middle that allowed you to open the door with a "special key" if the door was accidentally locked. - Does this door have this feature? - Which leads me to my next question, Should the screws face inside the room or to the outside of the room? *RECOMMENDED IMPROVEMENTS: 1) Having the screws exposed is kind of an eye score compared to the old style of interior handles. Also, I had to double check to make sure that the install was correct by reviewing you video, it does slow you down some to have to screw at an angle, again another reason to have the cover plate cover the screws for appearance and ease of installation. 2) I installed in less than 5min. but wanted to double check the proper placement of the screws on the faceplate (inside room or outside of room?) This should be added to instructions/video also. Thanks.

Striker Included

hi I can not tell if this pack includes the door strike?
Asked by: Chrissy
If you purchase an unopened package doorknob assembly they all are complete with a striker plate and all of the screws. So, short answer: YES. They sell the complete installation package. Every one that I have bought there, which is quite a few. BUT, if you buy from the "clearance" area that may not be the case.

Can the entry sets and handle sets be keyed alike?

Defiant brand entry and handle with deadbolt.
Asked by: 2girlsandatrailer
YES, they offer kits like that. all the locks keyed alike. BUT you need to read the label on the one you want, not all are keyed alike kits.

They look very nice. They are light weight so not sure of their durability. Time will tell. I went with a different brand for entry locks from Home depot because I wanted higher security. They matched pretty well too. I would buy again.

We love this new door handle and will be using it along with some nickel hinges throughout our home as a part of a major remodel. They have just the right amount of detail and are a huge upgrade from the old builders gold. Even the smooth function is an upgrade and feels great to the touch.

The location of the screws was awkward which is why it does not rate a 5, I had to slightly modify the hole in the side of the door to fit the latch part but that was due to the doors being old. They look very nice in place and work just fine.

They were very easy to install. Did replace some door with with the Kwikset (didn't like them, took awhile to install. One knob broke). These were cheaper than the Kwikset but feel strudier. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just right. I replaced some old brass knobs on my closets. At first, I was slightly nervous that the existing holes would be off. To my relief, it was as simple as unscrew the old and screw in the new.
