Answer:
Taking off the front of the panel will not give access to the battery panel. There is also a tamperproof magnet that prevents the unit from being disarmed without the code.

No. Taking the front cover off is not going to give access to the battery or the plug. This unit also comes with a tamperproof magnet. This is designed to prevent the system being disabled by an intruder.

Answer:
To reset the system to factory settings there is a reset button in the back.
The system does reset itself after it is triggered
When in arm mode after the initial trigger and corresponding entry delay the alarm will sound immediately if any other sensors are triggered. This will continue until the unit is disarmed.

Answer:
The siren is inside the smart panel. There is also an additional indoor siren available for purchase if you do not think the siren inside the panel is loud enough.

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good product I'm an electrician and I've put lots of wireless security system in and for $100 this thing works great! Easy to install and you can take it with you. The only thing I couldn't find in the user guide was how to program a sensor for a entry delay door. But then realized the sensor with jumpers 01 was the one. Other than that it would have taken me 30 minutes to install. April 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent economical system Very easy to install. Extra sensors and remote were added with very little effort. I will probably add some more sensors. April 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Product Easy to install remote works good . Has a lot of features April 1, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Best bang for your buck! Anyone who complains about this wireless home security system is not being fair. The bottom line is that when the audible alarm is triggered, the theif/theives will flee the scene, as long as you live in an urban setting where there are neighbors. The low price for this reliable product makes it a great value. If you want to compare it to other more advanced systems then you must be willing to pay more than double. February 4, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad product Very hard to essamble. There is no customer service/support. U r on ur own.... February 16, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not suitable for a large home Home depot does not sell addition door/window alarm sensors, motion detectors or any other accessories for the Defiant system that is needed to complete a security system for an entire house. The product manual also does not provide information on ordering new sensors. Home Depot does sell a Saber home alarm system for 97 cents more that is exactly the same system as the Defiant system. However, additional sensers and accessories can be purchased on-line directly from Saber. Programing the unit took some time to understand but the system does work as advertised. July 14, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not a good system!! This system will not allow for chime only without an alert blinking the keypad FOREVER!!! You have to enter your entry code TWICE for almost everything!! It is very clunky and limited in settings. It's a cheap system and HOME DEPOT nor DEFIANT is no help toward troubleshooting. August 11, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Extra sensors are available in store. Decent alarm for the money. You can take it with you when you move from place to place. July 25, 2015
