I am using it in storage units that are made of tin and the strong magnet bottom allows it to be positioned at any possible angle. The light is strong and bright and it lasts a couple of hours. We used it as emergency light and used the retractable hook to hang it on ladders when installing lights in a room that was dark. It's a proper product, strong, dependable. The light is bright and all the swivel and mounting options makes it really work for me.

Perhaps I had bad luck, but mine had a small, regular pulsing flicker (i.e. flashing) when plugged into AC that grew into a big, regular pulsing flicker. The bright part of that flicker also became dim. I'm returning mine. The "AC/DC adaptor for charging" statement on the packaging is misleading. It doesn't have a DC adaptor for charging in a vehicle. What it means is that it has a transformer adaptor for AC that converts the current to the DC that the light requires. The wattage isn't stated on the packaging as it should be. The adaptor has a label that states input is 0.3A and output is 6W max. House current being 120V should mean that this light consumes 36W. This light's output covers a much narrower angle than the 13W fluorescent work light I had before.

Rated 3 out of 5 excellent value, however
I purchased this product 8 days ago, and used it in my shop non stop. The charger stopped working after 6 days. Home Depot exchanged it without question. However, the package clearly states charging adapters for AC & DC in english and spanish. Product only comes with an AC charger

I received this light as a Father's Day present last year (2013). My kids always ask me to make a list of things I want for any given holiday from which to select what to get me. On this list was a nondescript, generic item: Battery Powered LED Work Light. From that description, this light was what my daughter picked out.
This light has become an extension of me due to its functionality, lightweight, brightness and durability. When I opened up the package I was more than a bit skeptical about the battery life due to the 45 LED bulbs. I was certain the engineers were being overly optimistic with this design. 30-40 minutes was the most I guessed it would operate on a single charge. I was way off! After fully charging it the day I got it, I unplugged it and sat it on my workbench in the garage. Somewhere around 6-7 months later, I realized while using it for the bazillionth time that I had never charged it again since its initially charge. It was still bright and showed no signs of becoming weak. I was fully impressed.
This light is well designed and made to be used over and over. The construction is durable and tight. The plastic lens is very strong. The light it projects is crisp and clean and illuminates a wide area as the beam is not directed. One of the best features is the magnetic base which allows for sticking it anywhere there's something metal. If metal isn't close-by, the hook provides for hanging the light anywhere.
Whether you're using it under the car, outside, in the attic, as a flashlight or in a tent, this little light provides enough light to fully illuminate a room or bathe the path you're walking in ample light to provide safety. I have no idea how long the battery life is because it has never died on me - ever. Once in a while I'll plug it in when I see it sitting somewhere and decide I should but I've never really "had" to. IT's extremely light and the contoured handle is comfortable to hold. The swivel head allows for setting it at literally any angle you want.
Great quality, performance, durability and value! Good job guys!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Homeowner I never would have bought an LED trouble light for myself. Glad I got it as a gift!
I got this for Christmas and have used it on all kinds of home repair jobs. The magnet lets me stick it on steel beams, ducts, conduit and appliances. The swivel gets the light right where I need it. I carry it all over from one spot on the project to another, and there's no cord to eat up an outlet or get tangled. I'm going to buy a second one to have around - that's how much I like it! It would make a great emergency light during power outages, too.
