Answer:
Unfortunately, dummy sets are not available that match the handlesets. What has been suggested in the past, is to purchase the number of handlesets you need and install them as you would the one that is operational with exception of the latches. You would need to leave the latches out so that the latches on the operational handleset has a place to seat when the door is closed.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by dressed up door This entry door handle set is made of heavy brass with an antiqued finish. The deadbolt matches the heavy handle and is the only part keyed. Unlike other sets which has a means to lock the handle part at least from the inside. With this economical set there's only the outside keyed deadbolt with the typical hand turned lever on the inside. The heavy outside handle is mated to a typical tulip knob on the inside which lacks a locking feature. This set is labeled as a replacement set. This may explain the lack of written directions other than on the outside of the box. As is the deadbolt striker plate provided is inadequate. It is smaller than other Defiant brand plates. My other deadbolt striker plates are one-half inch taller with wider screw holes and there is a heavy steel insert that fits under the plate for added strength. If you use your existing plate it will be better even though it may not match the other hardware. The striker is on the door jamb and mostly out of sight. Using the furnished stricker may leave an exposed hole on your door jamb and look bad. Also there is an exposed washer and pan head screw on the inside of the door which secures the lower part of the outside handle. It's black and stands out on an oak door. I will use tan colored touch-up paint on my install to blend in better. Lacking instructions for various door types may make this installation a challenge for "carpentery-challenged" folks. Otherwise it's an upgrade to a simple knob and I am pleased with the pricy look and feel, that's actually on the cheap, but who,s to know? March 13, 2013
