It's a flash light. I was pretty cheap but it was the only black light they had and I needed something to find scorpions.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by James Found the Cat Urine!
Recently bought a house and was FREAKING out about the smell. I figured out it was cat spray... and knew i needed to address it... but where to start???? I had no idea where to look, i never owned a cat. I looked up online how blacklights could I.D. the spots but was skeptical that it would actually work.... Then i heard it had to be a specific wavelength of blacklight blah blah blah... Anyways, i got up one morning, zipped to the Depot and picked this up. It worked REALLY well. Newer stain looked like somebody poured glow paint on the carpet. Older stains (even those that had been "cleaned up") were fainter, but still noticeable. I now know where to focus my efforts.... outside of hating cats.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by kyralea What is the UV Wavelength
I bought this to do an expereiment with UV, pet accidents, leaks, cleaning etc. I have 2 other UV Flashlights with wavelengths in 365-375nm and 395nm wavelengths. I am hoping to spot one in the 380-385nm wavelengths because this is the best wavelength to use for searching for pet accidents and the like.
The only problem I have with this is I cannot find a spec that tells me what wavelength the UV portion is. Could someone let me know?

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tintin Great little UV light
This is very inexpensive, and is equivalent to the inexpensive little flashlights that are so pervasive these days. It has an aluminum body and a three-AAA cell battery holder inside. The wavelength does emit some visible light, but I don't see that as an issue. I did find a number of stains in the carpet that were not visible in normal light. I had some fun going around the house and garden to find all kinds of fluorescent objects. I bought this to help find Tomato horn worms, so I'll have to wait until summer to see how well it works for that. For the price, this is a great little UV flashlight.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ScorpFinder Great for finding scorpions
I bought 2 of these for finding scorpions. I've had them for nearly a year now and I am very pleased with them. They produce a small amount of visible light along with the UV and this is a plus, because in very dark areas, it affords a small degree of visibility. This flaslight does a great job in finding scorpions as well as pet urin. Scorpions stand out without a doubt at a relatively long distance (easily 20 feet if it is very dark). The only complaint I have is that the battery life is short. I generally replace them after about an hour of use to maintain good brightness. This is a very good product for spotting scorpions. I am buying 2 more to stage in other areas in my house.
