This light is big and solid, time will tell how long it lasts since its durability is what will influence the value over time since the price is not trivial.
It is well packaged and simple to install as one could imagine. Just screw it into the appropriate light fitting.
The light is pinkish due to the inclusion of some red in the light. I have tried to show that in the two photographs.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NSgardener Super Replacement for Tube Fluorescent Bulbs
The Definity Digital PAR38 LED grow lamp is perfect for starting seeds indoors or moving tropicals in for the winter. It's super energy efficient and heat saving. What I like the best is the red spectrum light (the pinkish hue you see from the light). Research has long held the red spectrum light promotes vegetative growth particularly buds and blossoms. I plan to use this light with a timer for my patio citrus trees suspended from the ceiling showering full spectrum light to supplement a bright southern window. Super option in a grow light..

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Zushe When you need a "grow" lamp this is the one
Grow lamps traditionally used oodles of electricity. This was especially true for the light spectrum needed to make plants grow. LED's are great, but needed to be tweaked for this application. Fortunately, this bulb has everything - low power consumption, perfect light spectrum, and sturdy construction. It should be able to replace all other grow lights and save a lot of electricity.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by dutchgirl Great for starting seedlings indoors!
Wow! I'm really impressed with this lamp! My son started growing some spinach indoors for his science fair project and substituted this grow lamp for the lamp that we traditionally use to start seedlings indoors for our vegetable garden. He planted the seeds just five days ago and the seedlings are already poking through the soil and growing bigger by the hour it seems. With our traditional grow lamp (one that gets hot) we wouldn't have expected the seeds to sprout for another week. So this Broad Spectrum grow lamp really does work quicker and better! To be fair, we have left the lamp on 24 hours a day, which normally we turn the grow lamp off at night. But this particular grow lamp doesn't get hot and even though the light is bright, it's more concentrated so it takes up less energy. The lamp is not inexpensive, but it feels heavy duty and it's not just a bulb, so it's much less likely to break easily. A must-have grow lamp for serious vegetable gardeners!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by lilrabbit Seems to do the job
This seems to do the job keeping a small garden of potted indoor plants happy in an otherwise dark interior room. I'll need a longer trial to be sure, but if my summer experiments work out, I think I will use a bank of these to replace the fluorescents I have been using to grow plants in an otherwise dark classroom. LEDs just keep getting cheaper and cheaper and the choices of bulbs get better and better.

I have used this lamp for several months and it has lasted longer than any other grow lamp I have purchased. I used it throughout the winter months when there wasn't enough light to keep my plants healthy. I would recommend more than one lamp for a large room.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jim484 This product outperforms fluorescent lights intended for the same purpose.
This product outperforms fluorescent tubes intended for the same purpose, but at a reduced electricity consumption. This purchase was a test, the results of which were surprising. Our Amaryllis plants never looked healthier. We will be converting from fluorescent to LED technology.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by OrganicinClovis Bright but not crazy bright and cool to touch.
My plants love this light. Don't let the bulb get too close to the leaves because it will burn the leaves. This bulb has red colors and gold coming out of it. My husband no longer complains about all the bright regular lights in the living room. This is perfect for plants without lighting up the room too much. Even my Zamioculcas zamiifolia (ZZ plant) has put on more stems and it's a slow grower. I put it into a desk lamp socket so you can use stylish lamp decor. This would work great in a green house if you have a plug available for a lamp. Will be buying more of these for seed starting capabilities.
