I bought the eight foot length of semi-rigid duct instead of the G.E. dryer kit, because the kit only contains six feet and I needed seven. When this product is fully extended, there is only six feet three inches of length. At least that was the case with the one I purchased If you try to stretch it any further, it starts to feel like it will tear. I will have to go back to the store and buy another length of duct as well as a connector. The quality of the product is acceptable, but the manufacturer misrepresents the amount. Had I known, I would have bought two and the connector and saved myself a trip.

i bought this to meet fire code due to selling my house. The material tears apart as you try to stretch it out making it next to impossible to work with. I would have had more luck duct taping aluminum cans together. This product is AWFUL!!!

Garbage! Well short of the stated length, difficult to work with, tears easily - nothing to recommend about this whatsoever. I bought two lengths of this junk and both are now in the garbage can.

I wish I had read the reviews before I bought it! So far it's ripped twice so I will probably have to go back and buy something else!

This product couldn't be any worse. As you stretch the material rips apart. The brackets that hold it in your vent and dryer also do not hold the hose in place very well.

As others mention, it is very difficult to stretch this product out to the full length. It begins to rip/bend/dent very easily. The ends are very fragile and if you pull on them where they are connected, the will rip almost instantly. I will be trashing this and finding a better solution.
