I bought my plant about 7 months ago. Both stems are in the same bit pot. Can I separate them? Will this make them grow more? Do you have any tips to do this so it doesn't affect the plant negatively? Thanks!

Hello!
The Ficus Pandurata Bush (Ficus lyrata) can be a challenge to successfully separate and establish individually in new pots. However, it is possible if handled accordingly and the plants are not overly root bound or over grown.
1. Remove the plant and make a clean cut half way between the two plants.
2. Try to maintain as much of the existing root structure as possible.
3. Repot into same size

Hello!
You can check your local Home Depot store for a Ficus Pandurata Standard as we do not sell a single stem Ficus Pandurata online, or you may separate the bush into a single stem plant.

If it grows on as is the foliage on this plant has longevity and maintains the bushy form.

Answer:
Yes, this is the same exact plant, only in a younger stage. You can achieve the look now by simply removing the bottom leaves and leaving the ones on top. It will definitely take a lot of time and patience, but it will grow if you care for it properly!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Has all but died in less than a month! I am not a novice in keeping house plants alive and about 2 weeks ago the distal edges of the leaves all started turning brownish. I spoke to the service that takes care of our corporate plantings (which include several Ficus) and he advised to carefully trim the discolored edges off using sharp scissors and in a natural looking shape. When I held the leaves to trim them all but 4-6 at the top have fallen off. Unfortunately I threw away all the fallen leaves or I would have included a picture, but I did attach 2 pictures of what is left of the plant. Don't know if it was mishandled during shipping or just a bum plant. Other plants I have gotten at Home Depot (on line and in store purchase) are doing fine. August 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Absolutely Beautiful and Healthy The plant arrived earlier than expected and was packaged quite well. I was quite impressed the plant was fully intact, arrived with clear direction on what the plant likes and how to maintain it. I was so happy with the product I ordered a second Ficus Pandurata Bush and a Mother InLaws Tongue Plant. I will definitely order again and really appreciate the quality product Del Rey Plants provides. Very happy with my purchase. I wonder if they have this particular plant available all year round? I would love to send one as a holiday gift. August 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful, healthy plant! I was initially very unsure about ordering this plant through the mail, but to my surprise, it arrived totally intact and in excellent condition! My plant had only one stem, which was actually fine with me because the leaves were bright green and full. The root ball was in good shape as well and not completely dried out. I made sure to water it right away after I put it in its new pot, but these plants only need to be watered about once a week--I learned that the hard way! :) If you can't find these in stock in the store, I highly recommend ordering it--fiddle leaf figs are hard to come by and they really complete a room! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by A picture is worth a thousand words I was really hoping to get one of the gorgeous looking plants that so many others have received, but I guess I was one of the unlucky ones. If I had seen this plant in the store, I would NOT have bought it. It came packaged well enough, but the plant is one of the poorest looking I have seen. For the specific plant I received, I think the quality and value are poor considering it's so ugly and looks like it has already dropped quite a few leaves. I only gave it 2 stars because they shipped it well. Unfortunately they don't carry this in the store, so I can't pick out my own. I will be returning the one I have and ordering another one. Fingers crossed that I get one of the beautiful ones next time. July 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just do it! Better than I expected Based on the mixed reviews I did not have high expectations for this tree but the price was right so I took the risk. I could not have been more pleased. "Phil" as I named it arrived well packaged and healthy . I unboxed Phil, watered immediately, cleaned the leaves and allowed him to breathe and acclimatize for 2 days before transplanting. I followed the planting tips- slightly larger pot than the root ball, gravel at the bottom for proper drainage (since I did not use a pot with holes at the bottom) and nice rich soil. Phil is very happy at my home sitting at the corner of the room with access to natural but filtered light from our bay window. He already sprouted new leaves so I know he's doing great. BUY THE DARN PLANT! :) July 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Purchase! Fiddle leaf fig arrived in 3 days, well wrapped and in excellent condition! July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I always wanted one, now I have two. I ordered and was hoping the two stalks were not grafted, , it was delivered in 2 days,in perfect condition and budding . I was able to separate the stalks and its growing like weeds June 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Arrived in beautiful condition My plant arrived as scheduled and was well packaged. It was actively growing and has continued to do well even after being repotted. June 14, 2016
