Home depot can't even blame UPS on this.
The plant has plenty of dried out tips. There are spot all over the place. I'm not sure what type of mold or disease infestation this is.
Of all the plants I ordered, I looked forward to this one the most, and this is extremely disappointing.

This plant is absolutely awesome.
It came in great condition from UPS and arrived in a timely manner. I had an incorrect address issue which was brought to my attention by a persistent and hard-working corporate solutions woman from Home Depot. The address problem was immediately resolved and the plant arrived healthy and bright-looking (I was worried about the length of time it might be boxed without water while waiting for that correct address).
It's a good 4 feet tall, including the pot that it's in. I opened the package from its side (while the box was standing upright), and as a heads up you might want to have a newspaper or something to put it down on because there may be a small amount of loose dirt from the drainage holes at the bottom of the pot (if you're having it shipped like I did).
The plant looks even better than pictured here. I highly recommend this product from Home Depot, the price was right (about 20 bucks), and the quality top notch. I ordered it from the website.
I wasn't completely sure what size the plant would be, thinking it could be 10 inches tall, but in fact that 10 inches refers to the diameter of the pot, I believe. Awesome size plant for the money. I'll be buying another as a gift soon.
It's hard to find tropical plants here in Connecticut, so I was more than happy to see such a reasonable price for a plant outside this growing zone. I had read some bad reviews about buying from other dubious palm tree websites and, additionally, I couldn't find these particular palm trees at Lowe's. I also searched my local nursery and couldn't find them either. Home Depot came through, and I truly hope they will continue to expand their tropical palm tree line.
This plant is amazing. On a side note, I also bought a Cateracterum ("Cat") Palm from Home Depot with the same order, and it, too, was full and gorgeous. I will review that one in a moment as well.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nikovnikov Excellent, healthy plant!
When ordering this plant, I had no idea exactly how tall it would be. It is about 4' tall, and I have taken a picture of it next to a full-length bookshelf to compare (the pot in the picture is my own -- it comes in a regular 10" plastic liner pot). It was well packaged and very healthy upon arrival. This was an extremely good deal for the size of the plant!

The palm you'll get is about half as tall as the one pictured. No more than 3-ft. Now in the hot Florida sun palms grow like weeds--growth is a given, but not here. Each will arrive in a separate box and this is good. Lay the box on its side and open the box where it is the heaviest, at the bottom, and just slide the sleeve encased palm out the bottom. And water the soil immediately. They have been traveling UPS and the soil will dry out in the days it takes to arrive to your door step. But the palm is not affected it is still very green when it arrives. So to keep it that way, you water it immediately after standing the palm upright. And, where are all of these reviewers getting their 4-ft tall palms? Not in my order. The areca is very green, has a tag that pests are not there and have been eliminated so that's a great relief. But the palm is 3-ft max--not the tall palm pictured above which is what everyone thinks they're getting. Next time I will go with a larger size and hope for better luck. These are privacy palms. And you know they need to grow some to get to a privacy height. But 3-ft tall?

The box arrived looking pretty beat up, but the plant inside was in good condition. It did need to be re-potted, but so does any plant whether it's shipped to your door or picked up at the greenhouse. Overall, I am quite satisfied. I will note that I also ordered a small plant, and that one arrived completely uprooted. If you are going to order plants online, make sure to get large ones where the "this end up" on the box is very obvious.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by LSalz The product was mostly healthy upon delivery
The plant itself looks great overall, with some minor damages due to delivery. The box was slightly damaged upon arrival with a broken, plastic planting pot inside. I do enjoy the green color, although, the plant has already browned on some tips and arrived with a few damaged leaves.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Plants4Life Plant arrived frozen, well on its way to death.
We ordered two houseplants from Home Depot, both of which arrived frozen. A few days after arrival, the palm was already showing signs of death. We tried all kinds of remedies (besides the usual watering and putting near sunlight), including a humidifier and fertilizer. It has been maybe 2-3 weeks since its arrival. Today, we cut off all the dead parts, which was basically everything except 4 new shoots. This means it is showing signs of life so we hope it can hang a few more months until summer. I rated it poor because I am upset it arrived frozen, which kills plants. However, I am not sure if this was Home Depot's doing, or simply because I ordered it in January and it froze naturally on the truck. I would recommend buying this product in the spring, summer, or fall.
